Great Ocean Walk

One of the best beaches anywhere

For nearly 30 years we have been coming to Apollo Bay and walking this beach. We've traveled to many Queensland beaches. Coolangatta, Port Douglas... and this beach really is a contender for best of breed.We get in the water (spring wetsuits recommended)

Nice and Easy Rainforest Walk

This was a great walk through the rainforest. It takes between 20-40 minutes depending on how fast you walk and if you stop to take pictures. I loved the giant ferns and trees. The path had a few small inclines but was mostly flat.

STUNNING VIEW

Go there! Drive up the mountain, then theres a 1km walk to the top for a magnificent view. You will need good shoes or even thongs, but not heels!

Located on the foreshore in Apollo Bay, The Great Ocean Road Visitor Information Centre offers detailed information on a wide range of Great Ocean Road and Otway's attractions, tours and accommodation options. Stunning

We did this as part of a one day coach tour. It was good but you really need to take three days with your own car to fully appreciate it as some, we'll all of the viewpoints need to be checked out and photos taken

Beautiful rainforest

Majestic mountain ash trees, beautiful tree fern glades and a mountain stream. All this just 7km from Apollo Bay on a good sealed road. Take a picnic lunch or just enjoy the natural wonder of the Otway region rainforest.

Amazing beers, wines and local produce

We popped in here walking back from the beach and discovered an oasis. This is a great place to taste the local beers they have on offer along with some delicious local produce. I highly recommend grabbing a beer tasting paddle and relaxing with a cheese

Ripper waterfall ! Heaps of water flowing too ! Uphill walk the whole way with a rail, and a good walking track too. Good views. Good for average and above fitness levels, but you can still do it if under average levels. Walk takes about 10-20 minutes one
