Initia Japanese Cooking Class is a great way to learn how to make traditional Japanese dishes in English. What we teach is not fancy cuisine, but daily home style meal. We, a local family teach a small number of guests, so the atmosphere is just like cooking at home. This is not just a cooking class. We'd like our guests to have a local experience that you can't have when you just do sightseeing in Japan.

Sean and the Lantern and Laneways = #winning
A fabulous and relatively untaxing stroll around Gion and surrounds to take in the twilight, shrines, and temples once the madding crowd has dispelled. Sean has been a local for 10+ years and made an engaging and knowledgeable host. He even managed to squeeze us all into a very, very local bar for our last treat on the tour. Thoroughly recommend this tour especially if it’s early in your visit to Kyoto.

Amazing experience. MUST TRY!
This has been on my bucket list for sometime and finally got the chance to try it! Kyoto weather during this season (May) is perfect for this as it isn’t too cold or hot and this is the great start to my morning. Also, you get to visit different places of interest such as the bamboo forest and other shrines (I can’t remember all the names). Had a great takoyaki at one of the pit stops too!It is extremely safe and good to keep within a group of 6-8 in my opinion. Must try for both couples and group vacation! For those who are into photo taking and videos, I suggest that you can prepare a go pro stand or something you can latch it on with because you can only use your cameras when your vehicle comes to a stop.P.s. Not to mention we became celebrities for a day because of all the cute mascots costumes that were provided. Everyone was literally taking photos of us on the road. Remember to wave and say HI to all passerby! :)
