Nice cable cars, poor tracks

I was pleasantly surprised by the number and the variety of gondolas, ski-chairs, but very disappointed by the tracks. Only the blue ones had snow layers on, the red ones were either ice or powder snow bumps, who either broke your ski tails, or pushed you

Under reconstruction and still impressive

Janosikove Diery

Janosikove Diery Gorge is one of the most beautiful hiking trails not only within National Park Mala Fatra, but the whole Slovakia and Central Europe. It is located in nature reservation Rozsutce and the valley river is forming numerous waterfalls and rocky formations. The hiking in this valley is possible via imposant wooden bridges and ladders.

Great little hike

There are lots of trails here but the famous route is the blue then yellow then back to blue. Round trip. It took us 2.5 hours but our kids are strong hikers. The most interesting and fun part is the canyon where you climb some ladders.

A MODERN THERMALPARK IN ORAVICE, ORAVA REGION THERMAL ORAVICE aquapark is in the Orava region - Western Tatras, near the Polish border, just a few kilometers from Zakopane.
