6 Things to Do in Savaneta That You Shouldn't Miss
Savaneta is a village in southeastern Aruba. Home to the oldest surviving home in Aruba, it is the oldest town on the island and its former capital. It was where the Dutch first settled after they recaptured it in 1816. The Dutch marines have barracks stationed in Savaneta.

This could be the most beautiful, little known beach on Aruba! Thanks Peter!!!!
This was our second trip to Aruba. Since da wife had the good sense to rent a car for a couple days I asked my trusty bartender, Peter at Amsterdam Manor, where we should go that’s off the beaten track. His immediate reply was Mangel Halto! He was right.

YES! Do this!
You definitely want to book a snorkeling dive with Aruba Bob! We booked a private tour. Our initial emails were promptly responded to and a few days before our excursion they sent a reminder email saying they were looking forward to seeing us.The snorkeling was supreme! We met Kyra, Coco and our guide Alex. Their equipment is in excellent condition and they were thorough in explaining safety and what to expect. Alex was a true professional as our guide and we had a great time chatting with Kyra (Go Hossiers!) and Coco too!How exciting to get an email with a link to about 120 pictures. So great to share with family and have memories of the incredible colorful underwater world!

A master class in mangroves
We got everything we were expecting and more. Benjamin and Davin were both super friendly, and Davin was a great tour guide. He knew tons about the mangroves and genuinely cares about them, which was amazing to hear. We highly recommend that you check these guys out, you won’t be disappointed. P.S. Maybe don’t go hungover like we did.

Amazing experience! Worth getting up!
Picked up at hotel at 5:30am, at ATVs for 6am. High energy owner/guide named Arias. He was very friendly and accommodating to whatever we wanted to do. Never felt rushed, everything was on our pace. He was prepared for rain in the desert, which we got for about 20 minutes. The natural pool we had to ourselves, and spent as long as we wanted. Beautiful snorkeling. Then we went to the natural caves, which was unfortunately locked because of the rain, and he has many surprises up his sleeve to how you along the way. Lots of birds and wildlife to be seen, even though it's a desert national park. A visit to a secret beach with great snorkeling in a current - for strong swimmers only. We picked Arias after reading many reviews and not wanting to do a "everyone pile on, time to go" tourist tour on a Jeep or be driven in an UTV. We drove ourselves and the UTVs were very clean and in great shape. He provided a cooler with ice for us, and had water if we needed it. We brought our own towels. We brought sunglasses which you absolutely need, but bandanas weren't needed since there were only 2 UTVs in our group and no one else was in the whole park. Highly, highly recommend this tour!

Must do in Aruba!
Spend a wonderful day sailing, snorkeling, fishing, eating, drinking and making new friends aboard this 41 ft. vessel. It's the perfect activity for anyone-traveling alone, in couples, or with families. Captain Alan and First Mate Ricky will treat you royally and introduce you to many aspects of Aruban culture and geography. We had light winds but a beautiful sail. Get away from the crowds, listen to the wind, and soak up the sun. On our cruise we were offered wonderful tuna tataki, prepared by Ricky from a catch the day before...this was in addition to the regular menu of tuna salad wraps and gorgeous fresh fruit. The bar is open and the drinks are inventive.Don't miss this trip!
