Beautiful kayak trip
We went on a kayak trip with Glass Botton PR to see the bioluminescent plankton in Puerto Rico. It was a great trip, booking was very easy, they sent us a reminder text with all instructions. The trip was great, we paddled through the mangroves to a lovely lagoon at sunset. We paddled around waiting till it got dark and then got under tarps to create total darkness as the moon was too bright. It's very cool to see the glow in the water and on your hands as you disturb the plankton! The guide pointed out some of the stars and constellations above too. We paddled back in the moonlight to the home base. We absolutely loved the trip. While it does help to have kayaked before it doesn't matter if you're a beginner. It's calm and safe, there were young kids on the trip too. Highly recommended!

Kayak tour was a ton of fun - bio bay was a stretch...
Wife and I took the late kayak tour that left at 9:30 p.m. Come prepared with swimming trunks and I suggest a long sleeve top or windbreaker. Also highly suggest a headlamp w/ redeye. Bring bug spray although we didn't get bitten by any bugs or even hear any mosquitos (we did have spray on).Off into the mangrove channels... other reviewers are right - it is pitch black and the only thing you see in front of you is the red light from the back of the other kayaks in front. One thing we realized was that if you are following someone else who has no idea where they are going/can't kayak you'll be in for a hell of a trip through the mangrove channels with no light. I could see why some people could get upset. Invest in a headlamp from Walmart (Ozark trail) with optional red-eye and you'll be a happy camper. That said - the mangrove channels however was probably my wife and I's favorite part of the tour. The bio bay was a real stretch. Everything we've seen online makes it look like you're going to see neon blue water... It basically looks similar to static electricity sparks when you move your paddle - however at some points I struggled to see that and wondered if it was all in my head...In any regards - the tour guides can't control the micro-organisms that create the effect - we've heard on some nights its better than others... Tour guides were fine. Tour was fine. No issues there. My suggestion would be to book ahead and pay the $40-50 per person price - we booked through our hotel and paid $80 per person - with tax was close to $190.No way it was worth $190 - but would have gladly gone again for $50 per person.

Amazing Family Day: Zip-lining, hiking and cliff jumping!!
Our family of 5 decided to spend our last day in Puerto Rico zip-lining. We went with another family and the children ranged from 8-15. Juan was the trip guide with 3 other guides. We had a beautiful afternoon in the forest. Although i was the most nervous about this adventure, I felt comforted that our course was newly built and the equipment they were using was new and of high standards. Two of our guides had designed and built the course and we were in really competent hands!! Our 8 year old and the right up to the 15 year old had a blast. The hike was fun and took us to a waterfall were the kids and some adults could go cliff jumping. We would highly recommend this adventure for young and old.
