Another lovely church with amazing interiors

Also, storks on the roof nesting at this time of year as in many parts of the area. We were impressed by the richly ornamemted gold leafed altar backs as in so many of the churches in the area testament to the travels to South America in the 16th century.

Incredible combination of water, sun, nature and chiringuito.

This is a special place in Covarrubias, families gather here every morning and afternoon to cool off in the summer. Kids can hunt for crab, swim long distances in the river, enjoy the artificial beach, while adults have a drink in their "chiringuito".
