best way to cross and continue north
More of a necessity than a tourist attraction. Ferry is shared by tourists exploring and locals working. Quick, simple and easy way to cross a very wide fast flowing river. Sadly you're not encouraged to get out of your car so you can't really see much, a

Challenging trail and no guarantees about the view at the top!
This is a HARD 7km return trip where the path is steep, slippery and bordered by any plant you can imagine which has thorns, spikes, serrated leaves, spiky vines, etc. Oh, and don't forget the leeches :) The local maps will advise this track can take 6-7

There are not too many places these days that can claim to be truly, "at the end of the road". Though the peaceful little village of the Daintree is undeniably one of them. Nestled on the banks of the majestic Daintree River and bordering the oldest living rainforest, Daintree Village makes up for its lack of size with heart, wonder and a spirit of adventure... and just a short drive north of Port Douglas, the Daintree Village Hotel is the perfect place to start your northern journey... The Daintree Village Hotel is a full bar and restaurant, with a general store, bottle shop, and tour booking office.

Worth a quick 5 minute stop if in the area
This is just a quick stop at the main place where this famous tea comes from. A few photo ops, but some interesting historical displays of the place too. There is a DIY place to buy tea, but it is priced there nearly the same as some of the local tourist
