This mountain located just beside the Kirkjufellfoss, so we can visit both in one time. For me, the mountain view is more beautiful than the waterfall.

The waterfall is frozen in the winter, though our tour guide said that walking on the frozen river isn't a good idea, though lots of people were doing it. We actually saw a part of the ice that had collapsed into the river, and it had footprints all over

Cliffs and rocky window
Beautiful and very interesting cliffs. Very nice stone arch. When windy, it can get quite dangerous to walk over the rocky bridge, so be careful!

Whale watching tour
OMG. Best experience ever. The marine biologists on board were all friendly and knowledgeable. They shared so much information about orcas and were happy to answer any more questions that were posted.I managed to see 25 to 30 orcas during this 3 hour boat trip. If you are prone to sea sick, please take medication for it or you will not enjoy the boat ride at all. I saw many people throwing up over board during this excursion. A few were too sick to enjoy the orcas and just remained seated. So do be prepared for this!

Wonderful kayaking and playful seals ?
I've been obsessed with Mt. Kirkjufell for years, so when I saw the opportunity to kayak in the fjord below it, I jumped at the chance! It's understandable that every review on here is 5 stars!! The Vestur tour was just perfect in every way. I was the only person booked for the tour, and instead of cancelling like so many companies would do, I got a private tour! The equipment and safety instruction are top notch and the guide, Gardar, was so informative of the area and it's surroundings. He is fortunate enough to have grown up in such a lovely village, but I'm still not sure how he has trained the seals to play with the kayaks?! The seal was about 20 feet from me, just watching while I was floating in the water. This was a truely memorable experience, and I will recommend it to everyone I meet. True perfection - thank you so much!!Thank you so much for your review, glad to hear that you liked it. Hope to see you again soon:)

well worth doing
usually a bit suspicious of organized tourist boat trips that advertise Viking sushi, thought it might be a bit naff. To our surprise the commentary was informative, a little overly enthusiastic at times. The Viking Sushi delicious but more importantly simple and quite authentic. The sights visited amazing, really worth doing if you are visiting this part of Iceland.
