Best restaurant in Chachapoyas definitely

We stayed five days in Chachapoyas and went three times to this restaurant for dinner. The first and third ones we ordered the caspiroleta with ants cocktail and it was very good, in spite that I could not eat the ants because they were soaked in local pisco. We tried both cuy dishes (excellent presentation and flavor), the trout cebiche (very good), the fried rice (so,so), and the red spaghetti "a l'Alfredo' (in spite of being a three-dollar appetizer, it was a big dish). The list of desserts is not very assorted. On the last day we ordered the sauteed sirloin steak, but they had run out of fresh beef after a long four-day weekend.

Good steak cooked perfectly.

As a couple we both had the lomo (steak), however I had the pepper sauce and my partner had the garlic sauce. Both were cooked to perfection and the sauces were very tasty. The sides, including homemade chips, were also very good. Would definitely go back. Price for steak without sauce = S24, price with the sauces S34.

Perfect for a quick stop in

I love this little café. The owners are friendly, atmosphere welcoming, and it´s always clean. It´s also perfectly located close to the Burgos plaza. They have lots of dessert options (including vegan) and their sandwich Asado de Res is delicious!

The best Cecina in Chachapoyas!

This restaurant has the most tasty cecinas in a whole variety of presentations. The cecina is soft and fresh and a big dish is around 15 soles which is very well paid. Also, they have good drinks and fresh juices. Only complaint: service is a little slow so you should think of this if you are in a hurry.

Tasty food, place & wines could be better

Focaccia, pesto, american and vegetarian pizzas, ravioli pesto (italian style) were all superb. Unfortunately only one low quality wine available. Dinning room and restrooms could be a lot more cleaner. Waiting time a bit long for main dishes, but starters were fast. Personnel was kind. Thanks Werner for the suggestion. We will work on improving our weak points. Have a nice trip!
