There are a high proportion of excellent reviews so we wanted to check this place out. We eat curry with the same couple once a month and are prepared to travel for good quality service and food. There was only a takeaway menu online and a couple of reviews said this was expensive. First the food - starters were varied, onion bhajis, trio of tikka and stuffed sheep kebabs. The portions were good, well presented and very tasty indeed. For main course two of us had specials, chicken dupiaza and veggie jalfrazi. All were good sized and excellent. With 8 popadoms, chutney tray, drinks and coffee our bill was £98 which I judge to be in line with other curry houses we visit and not expensive at all. I think we were mainly served by the brother of the owner. He was excellent indeed. All in all I think this is a little gem of a place and well worth a visit.

A busy “local”.
Arrived at around 6.30pm on a Wednesday evening getting the last space in the fairly large car park. Not a problem finding a seat in this pub which is surprisingly spacious with a small outside area. Lots of locals in, some people having small committee meetings over a glass and food such is the ambience of the pub. A really good place to meet with friends.Great selection of beers, largers, Gins etc.The food is plentiful. Nice touch to be offered a choice of sweet potato or normal chips to accompany the Burger options.Swift food service, piping hot. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble.Good price points for pub food. We’re made to feel really welcome on our first visit.
