A special place!
Very good Corsican food, good wines, and beautiful setting in the very charming village of Pigna. The staff is pleasant, knowledgeable, and obviously engaged in giving guests a good experience. We came here twice in a week, because we liked it so much! The veal with olives is fantastic! Oh, and the shy dog walking around the place is very charming!

Meat and pizza
This restaurant is hidden few hundreds meters from the main road just along the rails and not far from the beaches of Bodri. The meal we had was excellent, entrecote, brochette and pizza. The service was very attentive, two glass of red wine topped the meal. Make reservation.

Tapas Lunch on a Smoke-Filled Terrace
This is a nice little cafe wonderfully located on the edge of the village overlooking the coastline below. It features a small terrace with tables crowded next to each other in limited space. Ordinarily, this would not be a problem. But during our lunch, there were quite a few smokers. It was impossible to really enjoy our lunch with cigarette smoke drifting under our noises much of the time. We don’t know why such a thing is allowed given the small space of the terrace. The cafe advertises that it serves bio-veggies from its garden. Can you appreciate the contradiction of eating bio-veggies in air filled with streams of cigarette smoke? Smoking must be encouraged since there was an ash tray sitting on every table. In any event, we ordered several tapas which were good but nothing special. Portions were on the small side and prices on the high side, but everything seems to be costly in Corsica. The house red wine was very good as was the efficient service from the friendly server. There is also a friendly kitty inside that likes to be petted. As wonderful as the setting is, we would not go back because of the cigarette smoke and can’t recommend eating here despite the great views.

Excellent location, friendly staff, good choice of food
The Restaurant la Santa became our favourite place to eat out when we stayed in the nearby village of Muro in May 2015. Parking is easy as there is a church carpark opposite the restaurant. We received a warm welcome from the manager and were seated on the outside terrace with fabulous, far-reaching sea views. As it was chilly, the terrace was enclosed and heaters turned on. There is an extensive choice of menu chalked on tall blackboards that are balanced precariously by the table. Options included boar, goat, lamb, beef, chicken, duck, pork, and various fish. The menu changed daily. There is also a pizza menu with a wide choice of toppings. Highly recommended.

Excellent (and big) pizza! Don't miss it!
Delicious wood-oven pizzas, and big (30-35 cm in diameter!). The pizza dough is extremely nice, as well as the toppings.Custom variations are possible. The staff is very friendly, and they have home made desserts... Very good too!The place has ca. 40 seats: outdoor patio and some extra tables with sunscreens. There are plenty of parking lots available, in front and in the back of the restaurant.Easy to reach. Coming from Ile-Rousse, on the left of the roundabout going into Algajola.Highly recommended for an excellent pizza in a very friendly atmosphere!Merci,à bientot

Le Nouveau bar à vin et tapas situé dans la vieille ville d'Île Rousse a deux pas du marché couvert

A refreshing difference to many other bars
Ile Rousse is a pleasant small town where the ferry brings tourists. It was lovely to discover this simple, tasteful tapas bar down a side alley, which was a delightful difference to other touristy places. The food was fun and different but what initially caught my attention was the most delicious smell of cooking which lingered in the street.

Good with flashes of excellence
Le Morgan is located in the centre of town and is more sophisticated than many of the seafront eateries. The prawn starter was perfectly cooked and generous. Six oysters with rye bread ( the latter a little dry) were extremely good value served with a plain shallot vinaigrette. Main courses were well presented - especially the pink tuna dish. The lamb was an unctuous and substantial dish. Dessert was novel- a tray of interesting cake style options is presented at table on a tray, from which you select. We chose a chocolate pyramid filled with mousse- it was a bit ordinary but nevertheless enjoyable. Wine was reasonable. The service was very good, considering that just one, highly efficient individual, was managing the table service and the bar- she still made time for a pleasant and friendly chat with everyone. The restaurant itself was almost full as you might expect on a Saturday evening, and it was very convivial. The lights were perhaps a little bright and the Coca Cola machine in the corner didnt add anything to the atmosphere. A few tweaks and this would be a great restaurant not just the best in Lle RousseThanks you for your comments, We are opened just 1 year and don't worry, litlle and little we will be change all old machine and machine of coca cola also :D Have a nice day,Direction

A fine spot for lunch on the corner of the square near the church. Stopped off here enroute from the train station and it proved a great place to start to our holiday in Ile Rousse. Helpful staff, good wine and yummy food.

Just so so
We have eaten here before and it was very special so we went again hoping for another special meal. However this was not the case. Last year this restaurant was always full but this year on a Friday night it was barely 20% full. The main menu seems the same as before with a specials board. I had the black pudding in filo pastry and Kim had the langistine's both were over €20 and we're ok but not great. I had the duck and kim the steak. The duck was tough and not very tasty the steak had to sent back. With a bottle of wine this wad over €170 which was double what a meal was anywhere else and just not worth the difference.
