The food at Casa Coronel is outstanding. Four of us had the set menu and each dish was delicious, beautifully presented and reflected the cuisine of the area using fresh local ingredients. The couple who run the restaurant are extremely thoughtful and ensure guests are welcomed and leave very happy, and planning the next visit!

Good "chuleton" but poor service
The quality of the meet is good and the price is reasonable. They really know how to cook the meat. The only "but" is the service which is very unprofessional and slow slow slow .... There are no many options in this small town so this is probably one of the best you can try.

A no-frills hidden gem
If you're staying in and around Ainsa I recommend you check this place out. The location is great, in the little hamlet of San Vicente, and offers spectacular views. For a fixed fee of €20 you get a hearty salad, plate of cold meats and cheese, a choice of barbequeued steak, lamb chops or sausage, home made pudding and wine. It's a more wholesome version of Casa Falcete. Just head north out of Ainsa on the road to France. After 5 or so km (and two petrol stations), there's a sharp left singposted to San Vicente. Just follow the road to the village. You cant miss it as it's the only restaurant there.

A hidden gem in Boltana Camping
We were travelling in this area of Aragon and discovered this small restaurant by chance. It is "hidden" in the camping of Boltana. At first sight you don't think it is this type of quality restaurant, but once you get your dishes, what a surprise of creativity and freshness! The chef uses products of the region and takes great care of the presentation. We went twice and were very happy with the dinner and sure we intend to come back!

Exciting, fun, tasty, but oh too much and too fast
Having read some of the other reviews, I agree with both the 'very good, or in some cases amazing, food' comments, it was, and the fact that the whole experience is 'rushed'. Yes I would come again. At that price for a Michelin star experience you would be crazy not to, but I would understand when to say stop and what is best to choose. We were given little to no time to digest either the food or the information. I also would expect a Michelin star restaurant to have a better handle on English. Yes we are in Spain, but English the de facto standard now. So sorry you need to have that capability. Yes the food is very good, some dishes were sublime, but everything needs to work to complete the experience.

Typical Spanish restaurant
I was not impressed with the food of this restaurant. The meat of my sons had to much fat on it, which made that they did not eat half of it and the menu is very limited when you are a vegetarian, but I have to admit, that is pretty normal for a typical Spanish restaurant. I ended up with a veggie pizza, which was ok. To be completely fair, my husband loved this restaurant, but he is a typical meat eater :). The service on the contrary was very good and friendly and the price is reasonable, we paid 65 euros for the 4 of us. What has it going for them is the huge terrace with the trees, ask to be seated towards the back of the terrace,

We went to Fonda Carrera based on the great reviews it received here on trip advisor. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The location is nice, the service was ok, the 3 course menu was disappointing for 26 euros a head. The meat was chewy. The soups were basic. The starters ok. The house wine didn't have much body. The deserts were too sweet. The coffee was warm, not hot. Hmmm ;(
