Our restaurant is very small, very elegant and outstandingly romantic. With our preference of local ingredients, our cuisine is just at the height of a very fine, modern, creative and sane food. Children are allowed here, but we don't offer any special fa

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and the cooking was consistently excellent. We have visited many restaurants over the years but this is outstanding and worth a visit if it's possible to get there. Every night was equally stunning; quality local ingredients cooked with care by the talented Angel and presented beautifully by our lovely host Reiner. I'm not sure what we enjoyed the most; fantastic cannelloni stuffed with turkey, mushrooms in a herb sauce - sounds simple but one of the most delicious starters I've ever had...we had to scrape the plates clean with the delicious home made bread! Beautifully cooked fresh fish, chicken rolled and stuffed with courgettes and onions and a superb steak- again one of the best- and we eat out a lot. Puddings- equally amazing- chocolate cups, a stunning dish of pear flambéed in vodka and served with cream, flan that was like a wonderful slice of creme brûlée served with a boozy soaked peach... I'm running out of adjectives. Everything was stunning and if it possible to give a review with a star for being outstanding, beyond the usual 5 - this would be deserving

Lunch was very good, but dinner less so...
We stayed in the Palacio del Obispo which is excellent (see separate hotel review) and we had lunch and dinner here with friends. The restaurant like the hotel is very attractive. There's a set 3 course menu at 18.75 euros which was the same for lunch and dinner (and also apparently for lunch the next day!). There are 4-5 choices per course. Our lunch was very good: eggs with a tuna filling; 'longaniza' sausage from Graus with grilled red peppers and for dessert a red fruit-flavoured yogurt ice-cream. The local Somontano wine from Otto Bestué and coffee were also included.Dinner was more problematic and one got the impression it had been prepared several hours earlier. My slices of tomato, parmesan and basil looked and tasted distinctly sad and were not freshy prepared. And the grilled trout which followed was stone cold. If we had not been with friends, I would have sent it back.Had it not been for the dinner, I would have given it a 4 rating.

A typical bar with regional products
Rokola is a bar located outside the old town called Graus. It is a typical bar, where you can eat some tapas like Teruel jam, longaniza de Graus (a cured sausage), croquettes or scrambled eggs. Some of them are regional products and other are typical tapas of Spain. Moreover I drank a red wine, which was normal, of the wine-cellar called Pirineos. A normal place to go to dinner, drink anything or eat some tapas.

€ 50 for an 8 course menu including a bottle of Chardonnay for 2 people! Each dish was prepared delicious and beautiful. Service and the boss/cook were very friendly. In short... SUPER. One serious point for improvement is the interior which resembles a snack bar. This could be much more romantic.

I was in Graus just on my way home from Benasque. We stopped there as it looked busy and we were starving and we saw they had a set menu at the door. When we came in they told us they were just doing tapas and we ask if we could eat something more like a proper main course which they refused. Average food...a bit pricey for what it is and the service is a bit poor...never a smile...

We had a pizza which was similar to what you can buy in a shop and Pive salad that had stale walnuts. You can eat it, but you don't enjoy it. 17 euros for that meal is not much, but considering we didn't get any satisfaction, it was a waste of time and money.

A typical good roadside restaurant located in a hotel
Lleida is a hotel located in the main street of the little town called Graus, near French border. This hotel has a restaurant, where you can breakfast, dinner or lunch. While we were staying at the hotel, we came here to breakfast and I ate a coffee with milk and a sandwich of longaniza of Graus (a typical cured sausage of the town). The breakfasts were good, but the place is the typical roadside restaurant for truckers: big quantities, oversizing dishes and many calories.(See also Hotel Lleida)
