Rithu Restaurant

Ala Carte Menu is mediocre at best

Ketchup poured over all deviled and mixed grill seafood dishes. Left restaurant without having dinner, yet still paid for food. All these great ratings must be referring to their lunch buffet, because we didn't see of the dishes mentioned in the dinner menu.

Sakura Cooking Classes and restaurant.

Best Sri Lankan food we had in our trip

We went there for lunch, it was either a $5 USD or $7USD buffet for each person. It seemed like a family owned restaurant where the wife cooks most of the food. The service was good. Both the owner and his wife were there the whole time to explain what the items are made of or to check if we need something. There were plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options (made of chicken and fish). All my family members agreed that this was the place with best sri lankan food in our trip.

Best noodles

We had the vegetarian noodles followed by their special blend herbal tea. Both were outstanding. Noodles fresh and tasty with spice on the side. Friendly customer service. Highly recommended.

Good option!

Sigiriya is getting day by day crowded by tourism, so more competition and higher prices. So in my opinion Shenadi still with fair prices and good food. I consider they have the best mango juice from the city! Go for it!

Pradeep Resturant

Good for a quick lunch

Stopped by Pradeep resturant after a morning exploring Sigiriya rock. We arrived hungry and hot and were quickly seated upstairs. The restuarant itself is very open and is made of wood, so think natural air conditioning when the wind allows.Menu choices offer the typical Sri Lankan fare: we went for kotthu as we did want something filling and quick. It was perhaps my least favourite kotthu of the trip and weirdly on the sweet side.Service was friendly and food was cheap. It did the job but we weren't blown away by the food.

Nice owner; okay food

We tried to come here a couple of times before we actually managed to, but it was closed both at a lunchtime and dinnertime on different days, which would have been pretty annoying had we not been staying nearby. So maybe call ahead and check! When we did get to eat there, the manager was really nice and chatty. We were a little disappointed by the food, however. I’m not sure if it was partly because we were expecting great things based on the reviews. But the vegetable rice and curry was just okay - a little nondescript, and one of the dishes was a peculiar banana curry.

Great stylish rooms in hotel -- and excellent breakfast

This was by miles the most stylish place we stayed in Sri Lanka - lovely rooms with great furnishings. Will be even better when they add the promised pool. The breakfast was also excellent - but the "italian" food in the restaurant less so. Great location to get to the Lion Rock earlyDear valued Guest,Greetings from Lario Resort Sigiriya ..Thank you so much for taking the time to visit us recently and writing such a wonderful review of your experience .its was a pleasure having you with us and we all hope that its not too long before we have the opportunity to welcome you back for another perfectly relaxing experience .Thank You
