Lovely lunch and great value!
We went here today on a friend’s recommendation and it was great. Lovely food in fresh, classic surroundings, Italian music and crisp white table linen! The daytime specials are an absolute bargain, £4.95 for almost any pizza, pasta or risotto. Excellent coffee too. Very pleasant staff who made us very welcome. We will definitely go back. So sorry we forgot to leave a tip! We will sort that out next time.

Maybe we just came on a ‘bad day’
Special get together with friends who’ve eaten here before and had a good experiences. An awful lot of waiting, first to have our order taken and then to actually receive our meals.I ordered the lamb special which was supposed to be served with a redcurrant jus, it came smothered in thick gravy, without explanation.Lamb was as tough as boot leather, such a shame for what was a generous portion and I hate waste.Chips served with all meals were very dark but lacked any crisp or texture.Service was harried, seemed only one person was serving and clearing/cleaning tables and managing bills.Kindly offered a free drink to compensate for my lack of dinner, I didn’t have to ask.Our friends were embarrassed, but I think we just went on a bad day.

Went into to order a takeaway tonight but very disappointed with the standard of food. The food was warm and dry, portions have shrunk in size gyros in the meal for two was what appeared to be scraps with 4 pieces of tomatoes and a few onions. The chips were overcooked and very dark in colour and bland. The pork skewers were tough and no peppers whilst the chicken ok. The skewers were burnt and obviously had not been soaked prior to cooking. The orange cake was dry with no syrup wish I had made my own. Mamma use to make it beautifully. Will not be returning as this was not the first time we have had a poor meal. I will make my own greek food in future.

Lovely little farm shop, we called in after a trip to hall hill farm. We don't normally eat pies but couldn't resist the ones on offer. Steak, local stout and blue cheese. Really was nice enjoyed outside watching the chickens. The shops got everything bakery, butcher, beers and pretty much all things nice. Well worth a visit we'll be back no doubt.

Perfect pub Sunday lunch
A firm favourite of ours. Visit often for Sunday lunches and have zero complaints. The food is lovely and has a liking to a homme cooked roast. Staff are laid back and friendly abd the atnosphere in the pub is lovely making it a pleasant visit each time. Steaks are also fab.

I’ve always wanted to visit this restaurant as I’ve heard fantastic things about it so my husband and I went for a rare night out without the kids! I have to say that from the minute we walked in, we were treat like royalty, the staff were so attentive. We decided to go all out so got soup to start, I had seafood and my husband had wonton, both were ok, bland but I find most Chinese soup like that so just put loads of soy sauce in! We then got duck and seafood platter, the duck was the highlight of the meal, absolutely beautiful and the platter was very good too. Mains, I had fillet steak in black bean sauce and my husband had satay chicken, I’m afraid this is where we were let down. My ‘fillet steak’ was like any beef you get from any Chinese takeaway and almost had a slimy texture, the black bean sauce was bland which is very unusual for black bean sauce as it’s usually quite salty, which is why I like it! The satay sauce, you couldn’t taste the peanuts but I actually preferred that to the dish I ordered, chicken was nice. All in all we had a lovely night and I would return purely for the service and duck! Lovely place but really don’t get the hype, sorry!
