Excellent local food that is simply overwhelming with fresh and complex flavours. The staff was really nice and helpful as well. We came here from Los Cristianos for two days in a row, so I guess that you could say that this restaurant is addictive.

Super Fresh, Delish!!
We went there quite early, only one staff speaking English but they all were very friendly and helpful. Just pick what you want at the counter then they'll cook it for you. Had a bery satisfiying meal coz Im a seafood lover. Even my husband who is not usually a big fan of seafood enjoyed himself very much. Price is reasonable as well. We ordered 1 big sole, another smaller fish, 1 oyster, 1/3 squid, 2 big prawn(this is the most expensive but the best), 2" fish roe, grilled peppers, 1 potatoes, 4scallops and a handfull of local clams, 1 kids chicken nugget with chips and a bottle of wine total was €80 very reasonable. Definitely recommended. Simple but good

Our family of five adults called in to this restaurant without booking. We waited for only a matter of a few minutes before we were seated with menus provided. We ordered several dishes including brocheta, croqueta, gambas, and amazing fish and shellfish!Bread and butter was only €1 per person, a large bottle of water €1.60. A litre of white wine for only €8.80!Absolutely amazing fresh food and impeccable service! Highly recommended.

Restaurant in the fishing village of San Miguel de Tajao. No menu (!), you just order from the fresh catch that is laid out in the display... so doubt they will have a website.

Fantastic seafood, homemade
El Rocás, in San Miguel de Tajao is one of those homey, simple places I love.Busy with families and friends the seafood cannot get any fresher or tastier! Walk-in, ask for a table and belly up to the seafood ice-table where the fresh catch of the day is displayed. Pick your fish, your shrimp, your octopus, your squid, shelfish...then tell them how you want it cooked.Have the house salad, it's fantastic, with fresh tuna.El Rocás is a must if you like good seafood, cooked your way in a friendly place. Walk the beach and the fisherman's wharf after lunch, it's beautiful.

Fresh fish, and more fish
All the restaurants in this little village of Tajao seem to be fish restaurants. I suppose that’s not surprising really, as we are surrounded by the great Atlantic Ocean. You are whisked into the kitchen to inspect the fridge and make your selection, with absolutely no idea of what it might cost. Actually my son and I were a little disconcerted to see all those eyes looking at us, and opted to eat shrimps, plus one portion of mussels to share, plus a huge mixed salad, warm bread and yummy mojo. The bill was a very acceptable €31 for the lot, which we felt was fantastic value, and nicely and cheerfully served. If here longer, we would go again. There was one meat choice, which was unspecified, simply called crane fiesta. We decided not to have it!

We have been to this Restaurant before for Tapas it was so good we thought we would call again, and we was not disappointed, we sat outside with a good view of the Atlantic Ocean and ordered our Tapas, it's all ways good to have a walk into the Restaurant and see what's on show, we picked out our five Tapas dishes, you have choice of small, medium or large dishes, our service was excellent and the food well cooked, we had two beers, glass of wine and two coffee, the bill came to 28.00 euros, very good value.

Excotic seafood resturant!
This is so totally different. This little goldmine you have to do some research to fine. If you drive TF1 in direction Santa Cruz and take off on exit 46 you are on your way to a good experience. But beware if you are a bit late for lunch you may have to sit and wait for a table. This restaurant called Agua y sal is a hot place for fish lovers. You pick your own fish from a vast variety, or you can do as I did let the waiter do the job. Then it's just relaxing and preparing for an excellent meal. They have a good selection of wine to go with the fish. And their prices are very low. You get a lunch for two for well under 40 euro here.

Spoilt for choice
In the small fishing village of Tajao we have found several excellent fish restaurants and having tried most of them this is certainly in the top three.Popular with the locals but we were welcomed efficiently, without fuss, and enjoyed an interesting dining experience. Forget about the menu, be adventurous, and go for the fresh stuff on display. The Moreno (crispy deep fried eel) was an eye opener and a taste bud tickler. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but......"When in Rome!!!!"

Little things mean a lot
After the head of kitchen greeted us with a handshake he then washed his hands before proceeding. Only a small thing I know, but it says a lot about this spotless, reasonably priced, establishment which we have visited several times. The splendid choice of fresh fish and seafood is displayed in front of the open kitchen where, if you wish, you can observe the cooks do a superb job of producing simple but memorable meals of the highest quality, with service to match. No ocean views but you will be too busy enjoying the food to notice. This truly authentic fish restaurant has got to be the best in the Canaries. The local Frontos wine complements the food perfectly.

A rustic village place by the sea, this was a delightful find during our 2 week stay in Tenerife. A grandma&grandpa operation, they treated all customers like their own family. They did all the cooking and service, everything was marvellous, and they made it look effortless. There were always French customers there, whenever we went.We went back and always loved everything we tried there. Our favourites were the langoustines mariposa (juicy, fresh and delicious butterflied large prawns with their heads left on) and the sirloin steak with Pedro Ximenez sauce, onions and little, sliced potatoes; you could mistake it for a fillet steak, it was so soft and free of any gristle or fat. The salads were all bursting with freshness. All their generous dishes were made with quality ingredients. We never left a bite on the plate and always left stuffed with both food and pleasure.
