Food certainly qualifies for Michelin star, but service...
Fantastic food, wonderfully displaid! Worth the Michelin star!!!Staff is really doing their best, but are given the wrong exemple by the owner, who is only busy with some preferred clients and doesn’t adequately respond to questions or situations. She should be happy that I was not a Michelin inspector! But the food was so creative, delicious and well presented that we will come back. This food quality deserves a second chance!

Great pizzas and a good stop for a snack or evening meal, or just a coffee
We went here 3 times in 6 days for a snack, lunch and dinner and had great food and good service each time. It might not look much from the road but it opens up into a pleasant restaurant area inside. The restaurant lighting is a little bright and it isn't the place for a posh dining experience, but it is a perfect place for good food at very reasonable prices and I am sure you won't be disappointed.

We ate here for dinner (10 People) and had a generally good meal. Friendly service but the faulty / too low air-conditioning made things slightly uncomfortable. Mains arrived while we were still eating some starters but otherwise food was good particularly the steaks and grills. Two had the suckling pig which they said was a bit sinewy. Very nice decor. Would recommend

We went several times to this garden restaurant under its former name Vigna Ilaria but this was really the best ever experience. The ambience is smarter, the menu varied and with more choice. I had the best gnocchi gnudi I’ve had in a while and my pesce nero was wonderfully cooked and presented. The maitre d’ / owner is attentive, wants his staff to do their best. The wine list has excellent very local wines.Restaurant is not cheap but it has style and unusually excellent cooking. We shall go back without doubt.

Great food, service not so good
Went for dinner and were very confused about how the menu worked. We ordered a main course each and the pasta was delicious - some of the best I've eaten on this holiday. However, service was slow... The main server (possibly the owner) was running around doing everything while the other server was standing around doing nothing. We also didn't realise until we left that the menu was set with options for the main course and included wine, coffee and possibly dessert so we missed out and I felt a little cheated. I loved the food but the service was questionable and communication poor.

Interesting food and sit outside by the Serchio river
Erasmo!, they have a nice setting and the food is good. You can sit inside the restaurant or you can sit outside which is across the road under the trees. Its a family run place and they do follow the Lucca traditions. But does it have atmosphere does it have something special? My feeling is that there is a possibility that the customer may feel that they are not as special as one would have hoped for which you certainly will get at other places nearby! Sorry for the cryptic clues however they need to try a little bit harder in my opinion.

If you know and like good wine give this a miss
Went here because of good reviews. It’s a quirky friendly different style of place. Served terrible wine and mediocre beer while giving the impression of being knowledgeable. Only bad experience in Lucca. Even back street tiny cafes served delicious chilled wine. Too many other good places to visit. Not going back. Dear customer,We would like to apologize for your bad experience, however I clearly remember you and your attitude since the time you came in on Saturday. You just classified as a bad wine, one of the most remarkable Rose in Lucca:- Fattoria al Dotto, Carignano, Lucca 2017You can't also classify an American IPA as "mediocre beer" while you even didn't read who's the producer:- Founder's Session Ale. Detroit, MIMoreover, you can't leave us 2 stars based on your prejudiced, personal taste.A 2 stars review it's a cold shot for me, my stuff and my selected products.Enjoy your holidays and remember that a personal taste is just personal and it shouldn't affect the whole evaluation. If you don't like something you can ask for an alternative, as I'm always ready to satisfy my customers.Best Regards.Vassili Karayannis La Cantina di Lucca

What an amazing experience. Our host passionate about wine food and his customers. We started as strangers and left feeling like friends and as if we had been welcomed to a friends home. Pasquale's wine knowledge extraordinary. When he discovered my husband had a love of wine, he kept surprising us with wine to try. Number one tip is book to get in. Don't miss this experience
