Great local food

Came here to try the local food and it was the best idea. It was my first time visiting santa rosa, a very nice town with a very rich gastronomy. Had to try the ticucos and they were great, we also ordered the puyazo, a type of steak and the pork ribs, truthfully the ribs were some rare and other to chewy, the puyazo was great but the edge with the fat was too chewy for my taste. Had a anafre with fried beans, mushrooms and bacon and it was amazing. We drank the strawberry smoothie and it was delicious very natural flavors. A great spot to try local food with a nice owner history and great service. Recommend

Weekend's Pizza

Great food... ...just overpriced.

Weekend Pizza has been a Santa Rosa staple for than a decade. The food is excellent in quality. The servers are very nice and efficient. The menu consists of various pizzas, calizone, and sandwiches. All of the bread is baked onsite and are personal recipes of the owner's wife. The only drawback is the price. It is well above the average pricing for restaurant food in Santa Rosa.

Funky interior, nice place for a break

We visited Zotz for a light lunch while wandering the streets of Santa Rosa de Copan. Good interior; nice lighting and the walls covered with farmed memorabilia, from Elvis album covers to Honduran historical items. They put some effort into it. Friendly atmosphere, comfy feel.Interesting menu, but we settled for an appetizer platter; the server helpfully steered us a way from the large one to the regular, which was more than enough for two at $9.50 - onion rings, bbq chicken, deep-fried chicken wings, celery and dip and more. It was good, and after six months in Honduras a little deep-fried was welcome. Beer is $1.75.We'd go back to try more on the menu. (There was a dance floor DJ booth; looked like things might be lively at night.)

Good food, good service, good prices.

Las Haciendas is a typical restaurant for Santa Rosa. My wife and I have been patrons of the restaurant for many years. The food is good tasting and in good-sized portions. You should not leave the table hungry. We usually have a doggie bag. The service is basic. You have to raise your hand to get the server to return to the table; but this is typical Honduran service. The menu is varied. The beef and chicken are the freshest choices. The fish and seafood have been frozen. And, as in most Central American establishments, don't come if in a hurry. The lemonade with soda is excellent!! The outdoor seating is best on the warm evenings. A great value of food taste and quantity vs. price.

Not worth it

We went there on Honduran Election Day only because most other restaurants were closed.Maybe the locals like this American style place but I didn't travel all the way to Honduras to eat generic american food. I suggest avoiding this place unless you have no other choice.

One of the better restaurants in town.

I had my first meal in the El Rodeo in 1993. It was in the same location, but the building has been remolded and enlarged a few time since then. However, the food is still just as flavorful and as plentiful as twenty years ago.It is the fresh, non-frozen beef dishes that El Rodeo is known for. The Lomo al Caballo, grilled lean beef topped with fried eggs and a tomato/green pepper ranchero salsa is a house specialty. It is my favorite. The service is a bit above average. The prices are a bit more expensive than average, but not too much so. It is a good place to have a beer or a drink, a meal, and to enjoy a couple of hours with friends. The live music on Fridays and Saturday varies from international pop to the typical ranchero. Arrive after 7pm to best enjoy the atmosphere. Two blocks from the central park. Credit cards accepted. Full bar. Sit closer to the windows as the interior can warm up quite a bit.

Best for pastries and cakes

Jireth comes in two separate versions, one on each side of the street. Both are recently renovated and are modern, airy and agreeable - the outdoor patio in the cafeteria is very nice and away from the street noise. The menu comprises light dishes mainly, but also some that are more filling. Alle we tried were good. For those with a sweet tooth, Jireth is a must - the pastries and cakes are really excellent! For the more serious diner, the fact that Jireth still is awaiting municipal licence to serve alcohol may be a drawback. Apart from that, - and a rather basic restroom in the cafeteria, - definitely a place to visit - maybe more than once! - while in Sta. Rosa.Tenemos lo mejor en Pasteles y cakes en el occidente del Pais, si no de Honduras. Me gustaria saber la experiencia del cliente para ese puntaje.
