A good longtimer in Shanzu

A longtimer in Shanzu, located just opposite Serena Beach Resort and Spa and just five minutes away from Shanzu beach. Here you get good swiss food and good seafood. My favourite is the red snapper, which they make in a good way. I have been there several times during the years and it's a good place for lunch or dinner. It gets more crowdy in the evenings and very crowdy when there is live band playing. Friendly staff. Good value for money.

Best dinner in Kenya

Went to this place on our last night in Kenya and this was the best dinner Kenya had offered. Enjoyed everything from the tasty meatballs courtesy of the chefs to every single aspect of the entire meal. Was a little disappointed that the dhow didn't move but the atmosphere is still very calm and beautiful. You get a discount here is you are staying at the Severin Lodge. Yea! Il Covo is back!

We were so saddened when Il Coco closed but in truth on our occasional trips to the North Coast it has started to look a little worn. But now it's back and as delicious as ever. But the weather doesn't change and so it can get windy but great that they brought Bell type caps for our drinks. We had a pizza, large enough for our 11 and 15 year old to share and two steaks with spinach and mozzarella...both cooked to perfection...We'll done and medium rare, all dishes served at the same time! Thank you for your favorable rating and refreshing remarks about the new look Il Covo. We are determined to exceed the expectation of our guests and are always happy to receive feedback on our offerings. I am glad to note that you (and your guests) had a wonderful experience. We look forward to being of service to you on your next trip to Mombasa.
