Excellent Breakfast and Buffet Dinner

Salakan offers a gorgeous choice of food for breakfast, with some delicious a la carte offerings. We really enjoyed it. Almost every evening there is a buffet dinner. As we do not really love buffets for dinner, we opted more for the Mekong and Mina restaurant in the evening. The seafood buffet we enjoyed though was delicious at Sakalan. Not every table at Sakalan is a comfortable place, as the restaurant is wuite crowded in the eveing. Ask for a table near the pool. Dear Burghalde,Thank you so much for your positive review in Trip Advisor. We are delighted to know you enjoyed your Seafood night & Breakfast experience, in particular the variety and quality of food. I will make sure to share your wonderful feedback with our Culinary and service team However we will definitely look on the table allocation during the theme nights. We are looking forward to welcome you back.Sincerely yours,Akil

Great welcome to visitors

This feels like a place that all seafarers have visited over the years. The walls are adorned with pictures of Navy ships from all over the world. Good selection of food and beer and a great atmosphere. A bit difficult to find as the road in the port was being dug up and there were no sign posts. Worth looking at Google Maps first!

This place has quality Middle Easter Food. It was recommended by someone living in Salalah so we gave it a try and weren’t disappointed. The appetizer platter (meze) was particularly impressive and there are tons of vegetarian options!Do note that this is a popular stop for large tour groups, so your dinner may be interrupted by 20+ people getting off their bus and heading to the party room for dinner!

Brilliant view, underwhelming food, atrocious service.

Such a pity. You've got one of the nicest venues in Salalah, a two tiered deck with 360 degree views of the marina, the day after Eid and one of the few places in the area with beer on tap. It should be the recipe for a night to remember fondly. Not so much. We would've had better luck getting fed if they're handed us a fishing rod to catch our own dinner. We were so annoyed with the service we forgot to use our hotel discount card, maybe that was their plan all along.
