Fascinating, but sad
Run by volunteers (with proceeds going to upkeep and renovation) this was a depressing , but still fascinating place. Depressing, because of its history - as an asylum for the criminally insane. It really makes us think about what people were put through

For a quick drive up the hill it is worth the drive. You will have 360 uninterrupted views. The facilities are well maintained and a lot of cool information is available. Do visit.

Beautiful place!
Stopped here after a weekend at the Grampians. So glad we did. The views are spectacular from the tasting room. Weather was perfect and we spent a great couple of hours enjoying the Riesling and cheese platter outside.

Worthy of A Day Trip!
This fabulous regional gallery provides both works from its permanent collection and hosts many substantial and significant exhibitions on a regular basis.I have enjoyed some very good exhibitions there, including the Blake religious art prize exhibition
