Canton, officially the Charter Township of Canton, is a charter township of Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located about 8 miles (13 km) west of the city limits of Detroit and 8 miles (13 km) east of the city limits of Ann Arbor. As of the 2010 census, the township had a population of 90,173, making it Michigan's second largest township and eleventh largest community. Canton is ranked as 96th highest-income place in the United States with a population of 50,000 or more. Canton Township is also consistently ranked as one of the safest cities in the United States, as well as in the state of Michigan. In 2015, the township was ranked as the 29th safest city in America. Canton is one of Michigan's fastest growing communities.

Canton Public Library

The Canton Public Library connects your community. Canton Public Library serves more than 90,000 residents of Canton Township in western Wayne County, Michigan. We are a member of TLN and Metro Net. Our director is Eva Davis. CPL is the busiest single-branch library in the state, circulating 300,000+ items over 1.7 million times [in 2012]. Our 53,500 square foot facility provides space for our 77%-resident patron population of more than 85,818 cardholders. The library's computers are open for public use-no time limit or library card required, the building has Wi-Fi throughout. Copy/print/scanners are available, as well as a self-assist paid fax. We also have a vending machine area with drinks and snacks, an ATM, and public restrooms. Food and drink is allowed in the library.

The Canton Public Library has a wealth of books, videos, tutoring services, and events for all ages. It is a very welcoming environment with many places to just relax and read a magazine or sit at a computer or watch the fish in the kid's area or join in

A Birthday Party destination

Many birthday parties are done here - but that doesn’t mean that it’s done right. The party we attended was great however the staff is not as carefully attentive as they should be regarding the food snacks and cake. They actually forgot to put out 2 pizza

The Bank Heist

We only had three of us to do the room and had so much fun. Nathen was an excellent energetic host. We came very close to getting out but didn’t make it. I wish the place was bigger for more rooms so we could keep doing more. Thanks for a great night.
