Over rated in my view.
Not sure if I'm missing something, but I don't get the hype - over priced for feeding farm animals which belong to the farm ($5 per little bag). As per the previous post, one of the people can be rather abrupt/rude, and heard him shouting to other tourist

Flat and Scenic
On a clear day, this is a great little walk to stretch the legs, see some birdlife and be surrounded by mountains. It's not at all challenging, but rewarding nonetheless.

A lazy stroll
The Glenorchy waterfront has a relaxed vibe, a little sleepy compared to the lively Lake Wakatipu at Queenstown. There are no street performances or vendors here. But it makes for a relaxing stroll.Glenorchy is getting popular, it seems. Compared to my la

Excellent Views & Not Too Challenging
The hike is 2-3 hours each way, depending on how far one goes. It is steadily uphill going out, but none of the grades are strenuous. Because most of the track is on the old Mt. Judah road, it is generally wide. Visitors interested in the mining history o

Boggy but spectacular!
This track will take you into the heart of Aspiring NP. Nominally 4d long, allow 6d then you can head up to Caacade Saddke above the Dart Glacier and see Mt Aspiring as a side trip! You will lose a day to rain as well, but if you take your time you won't

Trek through the woods
Very pleasant, easy hike through the woods to get to sylvan lake. It’s a bit out of the way if that is all you plan to do, but there is a nice camp ground there and other hikes further down the road.

Great if you’re a huge LOTR fan!
I personally wouldn’t drive all the way here just for this, but if you’re a huge LOTR fan you might, as this is the filming location for Isengaard, especially when it was drowned. This is as far as the roads go in Glenorchy, anything further will be grave
