nice respite for summer

the 2km tunnel feels like an airconditioned underground trail, opening up to jawdropping scenic views of the sea. there's rental bicycles if you like. and its an easy ride or walk either way. there's a romance strolling in a disused rail tunnel and the beautiful flowers lined track thats enters a parallel tunnel in service.Getting to the entrance is a few km's ride/hike/bus from the Fulong train station. Padi fields and scenic farms with narrow country roads.

Construction and reclamation of land

This is my 2nd trip since 2013. The place is currently going through some construction and land reclamation. There are still a lot of stalls selling food. Nothing much there to do except take a ferry to either Ba Li and Yu Ren Ma Tou

You can drop by if happen to be in Taipei

But there's no point to arrange a Taipei trip just for this local event. It's usually cold and rainy during the event. Going to southern Taiwan for an old town trip is a better use of your time.

カオスなお寺

ここを訪れる日本人はほとんどモヤさまを見た人でしょう。私もテレビで見た時からずっと気になっていて、ようやく訪れることが出来ました。テレビで見たとおりの珍スポット。台湾で唯一の寝釈迦像に地獄巡りや五百羅漢、なぜ?とききたくなるようなユニークな仏像がいっぱいです。遠かったけどわざわざ行く価値ありです。入場無料なのに最後には烏龍茶と麺線をいただきました。美味しかったです。ごちそうさまでした。
