Vast expanse of sand

Not your typical beach with golden coloured sand! The sand is dark in colour so does not look as inviting! However it makes for a pleasant stroll along the beachfront and there are loads of places to stop along the way for some liquid refreshment or eats.

Great for beginning surfing

Our go to beach while in SJDS for surf lessons for my wife and long board surfing for myself. The vibe here is much friendlier and the food better than on Maderas Beach. The surf was a bit rough for swimming, but this we saw at Maderas as well.

Amazing.

We found ourselves here by accident having taken a wrong turning. It is gorgeous and there was almost nobody else there. No litter, warm sea, pristine sand and terrific views. There is a small lodge there that would be worth investigating. Just wonderful.
