Hawkesbury Regional Museum

Hawkesbury Regional Museum is located in one of our country's oldest settlements-the third on mainland Australia after Sydney and Parramatta. It is the only publicly-run , professionally staffed museum in the Hawkesbury and, indeed, in the wider area including the Blue Mountains, Penrith, Hills and Blacktown local government areas.

A must see if you have an interest in history

As one of Australia's earliest settlements, there is so much history here but it is not obvious to the first time visitor. This will help a lot to anyone get some perspective, only small but worth spending some time.

Highlight of my Sydney trip

It was very impressive watching John and Clare prepare everything. I mean, everything. ..from registering to finding the right spot to the off, preparing the balloon, all the way until making sure we did not land on undesired spot (the day was lacking wind to help push the ballon towards a better area to land). I am afraid of heights, normally I avoid anything like this, yet I felt so safe. John gave clear instructions, assisted and answered all questions. ..and their knowledge of the area are impressive. Eventhough it was only the two of them taking care of the 7 of us... we never felt unattended, they ran the operation very professional. I recommend them highly.Thank you for your great review! John & I started Cloud 9 twenty five years ago so we had plenty of time to finesse our skills but we do enjoy meeting and looking after our passengers, so thank you once again for joining us.
