続日本100名城にも選ばれた鞠智城。朝鮮半島の国からの防御のためにつくられた、古代山城です。車で訪問しました。まずは温厚創生館で解説ビデオを見てから城跡公園内を散策。なんといっても八角形の復元望楼が見所です。展望所も整備されていて、このあたりがとても見晴らしのいい場所であることがわかります。

貴重な植物です

常緑のマメ科の植物で通称”うどんげ”ともいわれています。日本中で自生しているのは、ここと佐世保のひとつの島だけになります。ゆっくり見学できるように藤棚のようにしてあり、周りも整備されていますので、気持ちがよい場所です。昭和15年には国の特別天然記念物に認定されたそうです。

のんびりできる場所でした

夏休み期間の週末でしたが、特にイベントなども開催されていなかったので、のんびりでき開放的な空間を満喫できました。駐車場近くに物産販売施設があり、ソフトクリームの販売をしていました。工芸体験の施設などもあり、広い公園のようになっています。駐車場広場の先に隈部親永公像があります。

3号線沿いで県境まで少し

3号線沿いの道の駅で少し走ると福岡県でした。人里離れたような場所ですが、9月までは夜7時まで営業なのは幹線道路沿いということでしょうか。食事、観光案内、物産販売と道の駅の一通りの施設はありました。定期的に家族向けのイベントをおこなっているのでスケジュールを調べて行くとよさそうです。個人的にはこういう道の駅が好きです。

これぞ夏休み!的渓谷。夏以外も散策、キャンプ!

菊池渓谷のほうは有名なのですが、この矢谷渓谷はあまり知られていないんですよね、なぜだろう・・。いいところなのに。菊池渓谷が散策がメインの渓谷で、この矢谷渓谷は水遊びやキャンプがメインです。でも、もちろん川沿いの歩道も整備されていて、散策も十分楽しめます。検索、カーナビを設定する場合は、矢谷渓谷キャンプ場で検索されると出てくると思います。入場料は、大人200円、小学生以上の子ども100円でした。飲み物の移動販売機はありましたが、食べ物の販売はありませんでした。事前に道の駅などでご準備を。周囲は田んぼと畑ばか

石の風車はいつ見てもすごい

何度か来たことがありますが、やはり石の風車はいつ見てもすごいです。風でちゃんと動くようです。どんな仕組みになっていくか、気になりました。家族連れが多くて、天気の良い日に行くと子どもたちがはしゃいで、かけっこしていました。

駐車場やトイレなど工事中でした。

友人とドライブしたときに、久々に行ってみました。天気の良い日だったため、景色がよく見えました。数年前の天災で神社に被害が出たそうで、ようやく復旧した様子です。現在駐車場とトイレなどが工事中で、駐車スペースが普段よりも少なめです。
