Several nice tours to go on

The staff was extremely helpful in booking tours for us, and they went out of their way to make sure everything went well. The place has two pools and they weren't loud or crowded. We had an excellent massage from a woman who spoke English as a first language (she also spoke Spanish). the staff also recommended activities in the area and helped us with transportation (water taxis, which they booked for us). Thank you so much for your kind review. We're pleased that you enjoyed your activities on your stay.Kind regards,The Bocas del Mar team,

ONLY FACTS…NOTHING ELSE.

ONLY FACTS…NOTHING ELSE...I am not sure where to start, but no matter where I start, my 5th fishing trip with Come Fish Panama exceeded the expected outcomes. The unfolding evidences of what happened during the four fishing days in the Pacific Ocean are briefly described below. I Will Keep It Simple:The planning and coordination of this four-day fishing trip with the owner of Come Fish Panama unleashed without flaws. The boat was in remarkable shape. Bean bags available on board for comfort when in need to cruise at higher speed on the blue waters. Lunch and fluids served as expected. It may seem unimportant, but being able to relax, absorb the scenery, get the appropriate provisions, and validate a short nap at the end of a dynamic day of fishing, was incredibly satisfying. Captain Luis was able to maintain a smooth ride throughout our four-day experience in the ocean; an ocean that could be unpredictable at any time, which it was at times. If it is possible to say that a person can significantly discipline the capricious ocean and find the perfect fishing spot, our Captain Luis was capable of doing just that. A description of our Mate Christian does not fall behind the description of Captain Luis. One adjective that closely describes our Mate Christian is “Unstoppable”. I am not sure where our Mate Christian found uninterrupted energy to get all the work done, but his execution was mind-blowing. As an angler, the Captain and Mate surpassed my expectations when they demonstrated extraordinary performance on deck with gear preparation, good work ethics, teamwork, and respect for each other and their customers. As we anglers know, fishing is similar to the weather. No one can predict with certainty that a specific variety of fish will always be biting at specific dates. We can only hope that the bell curve is accurate during the days that each of us, anglers, arranges the fishing schedule. I am thrilled to say that our catch was very significant during these four days. We were not only able to place a check mark next to the names of species in our bucket list, but also added few unanticipated species. Indeed, we caught Bonita, which offered a higher likelihood of catching a bigger fish, as well as the use of other alternatives. Nevertheless, the diverse number and variety of fish that we hooked those four days was the pinnacle of our trip. Our catch of various sizes included Cubera Snappers, Mullet Snappers, Dorados, Amber Jacks, Wahoos, Mackerels, Blue Runners, Yellow Fin Tunas, Rainbow Runners, Bar Snappers, Marlin, and large Bull Sharks. Catch and release was indisputable for some species. I have posted few pictures from our adventure. As I come to an end of this review, I would like to verbalize my gratitude and appreciation to Come Fish Panama and all the staff, especially the owner/Captain Kerry and his assistants Captain Luis and Mate Christian who all worked hard until the last minute of our fishing trip.

Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge - Day Charters

Professional sportfishing charters from Boca Chica, Panama. We'll pick you up at your hotel's dock. 33' World Cat the "TOP Cat" and 25' SeaCraft the "Scandalous" with Capt. Shane Jarvis Since 2005...Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge has been Panama’s exclusive private island fishing lodge on Isla Paridas and offering Professional Day Charters out of Boca Chica, Panama. Situated in the heart of the Gulf of Chiriqui, near the Costa Rican border and approximately 12-miles offshore from Boca Chica, our lodge on Isla Parida offers anglers easy access to uncrowded and unspoiled world-class fishing in a wide variety of venues. Not to mention our picturesque island setting located within Panama's Chiriqui National Marine Park with breathtaking views of tropical blue seas, 3 white sand beaches and swaying palm trees. Best of all, our well-equipped lodge lies closest in proximity to what is arguably the best blue water fishery in the world. The highly-regarded Hannibal Bank and Coiba Island, as well as some lesser known but equally as impressive locales of Isla Montuosa, Islas Secas and Isla Ladrones are all within a short reach and easily accessed. The beauty of our unique and exotic lodge is that its prime location eliminates the long boat ride to and from the offshore fishing grounds so you can spend more time catching and less time “running.” And we have an excellent inshore fishery right at our doorstep! The rides out to the fishing grounds are much more comfortable in our awesome twin engine fishing machine the "TOP Cat" a large 33' World Cat Catamaran center-console fully equipped with state-of-the-art marine electronics. We pride ourselves on our highly maintained boats, top of the line tackle & equipment, and professional English speaking crews that truly set us a notch above the rest.

Once again amazing fishing in Panama

Capt. Shane Jarvis is the man when it comes to fishing in Panama. This was my second time fishing with Shane and once again he and his mate Juan got us on the bite. I caught my 1st ever Yellowfin Tuna which Shane estimated to weigh 160lb plus....and I have the pictures to prove it!!! Shane and Juan always do a great job and work exceptionally well together and run a smooth operation. They are both very professional and always strive to make us comfortable and well equipped when the bite turns on. I have taken many fishing charters in Florida where I live with other great captains and have had many memorable catches, but nothing compares the type of fishing I have done here in Panama with Capt. Shane. The bite down here is prehistoric, the setting is beautiful, and the people in Boca Chica are wonderful. The fishing here is just amazing and every time I return home and show my friends and family pictures of monster Rooster fish, Cubera Snapper, or giant Yellowfin tuna they are just blown away and amazed. These guys are awesome at what they do and the experiences have been memorable and I will be returning later on this year in November for my hunt for a Blue Marlin and have the confidence that Capt. Shane and Juan will get me on this dream bite.Hey Alex,Thanks so much for taking the time to post the review! It was our pleasure fishing with you again and can't wait to see you in Novemeber. Thanks again! Capt. Shane Jarvis

The Amazing 80th Birthday Bash

At Christmas I was desperate to find someone to organize my family of 16 for 3 days of water adventure around Boca Chica in TWO weeks. I was given the name of the Reel Inn and Sue and Merf took it from there. Day 1: 15 of us in the Dolphin Dancer and a panga, with lunch and drinks provided, to the Isla Secas for snorkeling and fishing. We caught 3 wahoo for dinner that night, and lost a sailfish, a corvina or two, plus untangling an enormous sea turtle caught in cast off line. Snorkeling was okay, but the waters were choppy. Day 2: kayaking close to the harbor, to see monkeys and great mangrove forests and wild horses. Then we visited Sue's hummingbird estate. Day 3: Merf and Sue set up a feast on the Isla Paridas with a professional chef served on the beach. We had grilled lobster, roast suckling pig, plantain, the best potatoes ever eaten, fruit, fruit, fruit and music and fireworks and tropical cocktails. Unbelievable birthday party and three day adventure, thanks to Merf and Sue.At all times, even in VERY windy conditions and our inexperienced teens, we were confident in the expertise of Merf and his boatmen. Sue's knowledge of the flora and geology of the area really added to our kayaking day. I recommend their operation so highly, I'd like to broadcast their name all over the globe to those seeking real water adventure and a sense of the real Panama.Wow, what a fantastic compliment and what a great time we all had! It really was an honor to set these different activities up for such a wonderful family for their Mom's 80th!! Thanks again & I know that we will always remember this weekend! Thanks Carol and crew! NICEST BOAT & BEST CREW, FISHING IN THIS REGION - HANDS DOWN!

I've traveled around the world fishing and have made many trips to both ends of Panama. I landed on Boca Chica Big Game after being giving the owners contact info from a Captain on recent fishing trip in Hawaii. The owner "Chad" -is one of the best guys and passionate fisherman I've ever met! He use to fish out of Hawaii and has fished all over the world, but decided to land permanently where generations of his family are rooted and we both agree - This region is TRULY THE BEST FISHING in the world. I keep coming back to this region because it really is the most incredible fishing experience in the world..BUT- the only issue I've had in the past is that most of the boats I've fished in the region are center consoles and sometimes the language barrier. These guys are truly bi-lingual so no issue here and you're fishing in a boat equipped for big game...and nice to have shelter from a rain storm or AC if you want to cool off....I don't typically/have never wasted my time on reviews, but felt it was duty after this trip. I plan to bring the whole family on my next trip, so they can experience what my friends and I did. A trip to this region of the world is a once in a life time experience and the diversity in these waters is like something you would see on national geographic. I've fished the Dar Prov/ other side of Panama and in my opinion, this is the real McCoy! We caught more Marlin that I've ever seen on a trip (Blues & Blacks), Tuna, mahi, sailfish & took a day off catching roosters & your array of bottom fish. The fish are here year round, but my only recommendation is don't come in the rainy season...if you don't want to get wet. I've fished both. Highly recommend these guys. Thanks to Chad and the crew - I will see you next year!! Cheers - Will & friendsThank you so much for your kind words Will, you and your friends were a great group to take fishing. You guys were a lot of fun, and did a great job catching fish. I can't wait to fish with you again soon! Take care and Tight lines!!

World Class fishing, with world class food and world class service

The fishing is absolutely fantastic but what makes the Panama Big Game Fishing Club an outstanding destination is its fantastic service, accommodating staff and a chef that could easily be cooking in one of the finest restaurants in New York or Miami.Rooms are nicely appointed, beds very comfortable and the rooms are kept immaculate and clean. We stayed a total of four nights and fished three full days. John the General Manager was very friendly and accommodating looking after every detail of our stay. We were met at the Panama City airport and escorted through Customs and Immigration. From there we were picked up by Aura and given a tour of Panama City and afterwards took us to a different airport to catch our flight to David. There we were met by Alex who drove us to Isla Boca Brava. Everything went like clock work both on the arrival and the departure.Every single person that we met was friendly, courteous and spoke English very well. It was obvious that their number one objective was to make our stay enjoyable and rewarding. As I said earlier the fishing was spectacular but never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that I would have found such a lovely place nestled in the woods that offered world class food, service and accomodations. If you are looking for an experiencer of a lifetime, come to the Panama Big Game Fishing Club.

Good fishing company with nice guide

We went fishing with Thomas for 6 days - inshore and offshore. Fish were not on the best bite but we caught still some nice sailfish, blue travelly and jack + many other species. His boat and fishing gear are in good condition, boat could be a bit faster if you have to go really far out (cruising speed 21 knots). Thomas is really friendly and listens your wishes. I recommend him if you are going to Boca Chica for popper fishing or trolling.
