Who knew African and South American food could fuse?
We were especially impressed by the quality of meat. The Maldives for us is all about the delicious wild-caught Tuna that's offered everywhere, but we loved the complete change of pace at Tribal

Had a romantic dinner at the restaurant. It was raining earlier in the day so the tables at the treetop level was closed, unfortunately. So we got tables at the first level, which was still very nice. Food served is mainly fusion/Asian cuisine. Service is impeccable. Food is great too! Lots of options for everyone! Order the tom yam dish! The way they serve it is a real visual treat! Do try the restaurant here next time you’re in Niyama. :)

First Dinner at Maldives
We arrived Maldives on 13 June 2018 on our annual family outing. From Male we took the seaplane to reach Niyama Private Island Resort. Our first dinner was at the Blu Restaurant. Good place by the sea and good atmosphere. Friendly service and many choices of food and barbecue seafood.
Taste the freshest flavours from around the world in these light, bright, contemporary market-style food hall restaurants. Take a seat and watch as the chefs prepare tantalising dishes of the day.

excellent restaurant with a wide choice of dishes
We ate at Flavour most mornings and evenings, with a wonderful choice of dining. Fresh pancakes and waffles every morning became our favourite (although there is so much more to choose from), and again in the evenings the selection of freshly prepared dishes was excellent. Manjula, the head chef here did such an amazing job catering for our daughter's daily requests for her favourite meals...Hi MartinThanks for the awesome review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us!We will surely pass your lovely comments to Majula. He would love to hear about your review. We do hope to see you again at your favorite island (desti)nation!Best RegardsYour Kandima krew

Beyond Great Food But...
Having had wonderful dinners at Tribal, Blu & Epicure, and with a fixed price of USD200/head; my expectations before coming here was sky high to say the least. Before even reaching this wonderful resort, I had read about each & every one of their F&B outlets and I must say a majority of them did surpassed my expectations through creativity, ambience, food quality & staff friendliness. So it goes without saying I ranked this outlet a MUST GO activity in my to-do list.Without being pretentious, SubSix has always been marketed itself as a fine dining eatery first & an underwater eatery second. So judging objectively will be pretty much straight forward for me; food quality & presentation first and atmosphere & decor second. For USD200 a plate, I had pumpkin soup with scallops for entrée, followed by fresh lobster with tangerine & tamarind reduction. Main course was a choice between pan fried barramundi & lamb chop. Being the quintessential meat eater, I went for the lamb chop. The lamb was perfectly cooked, with a strange but delightful crust coating it. To end our wonderful meal, we were served with a mango sorbet with coconut cream & cut fresh fruits.Overall the dining experience was wonderful & in keeping with the resort policy of being children friendly; they accommodated the children & infant who were with us. They even made special meals for them. Judging by the end results, it was obvious that the kids meal was nice too!SubSix indeed is yet another masterpiece unearthed here at the Niyama Private Island Resort with wonderful child friendly atmosphere, friendly & helpful staff and last but definitely not least, amazing food; is an experience to be savoured.
