Superb

We had the most delicious food, paired with different wines for each course, which had been carefully selected by the very knowledgeable host. The whole menu is delightfully small, but very well thought out. The portions are generous and not over fussy. The flavours are superb. Simply the best.

A hidden gem!

Easter weekend and we turned up looking for a table for 2 persons. Did they squeal and shout that we should have booked? NO - definitely not! We were greeted so well and they simply checked their reservations and said " Yes of course we can take you now if that suits you". Superb ambience - service and of course top dollar food for great prices.Although we are fairly local and have lived and worked in the area for a long time- sometimes it is embarrassing to experience the type of food and service dished out to our tourists. This was our first time visit but will not be the last. It was a wonderful experience in every single way. Well done all of you.

Coffee & scones - nothing special

We arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon just after lunchtime rush. Just wanted scones & coffee. Not a problem to get a seat or to order but we waited longer than some ordering a meal. We weren't in a rush but it seemed strange. Scones arrived cold so we asked them to be warmed up slightly - staff happy to help - but it would have been nicer to be offered the chance at the start or for them to do this without asking. Service in general seemed erratic - plenty of staff but they didn't appear to know who had already been served or were waiting - they need to be more organised I think. The scones were ok but not the best. We probably won't visit here again if we're in Inveraray. It was expensive for what we had. Hello ElsaToscaRobbie, Many thanks for popping into Brambles Cafe. All of our scones are made fresh daily, we have a selection of fruit, plain, raspberry with white chocolate and also blueberry with almond. As they are made fresh we do not offer to heat them up, however we will happily oblige if a guest prefers their scone heated. Future guests, please do not hesitate to ask!Apologies you felt the service was erratic, it should not feel like this! I can only assume that you were in Brambles when we were training new starts for the busy summer season. Our fresh homemade scones start at £2.
