Amposta is the capital of the comarca of Montsià, in the province of Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain, one hundred km south of Barcelona on the Mediterranean Coast. It is located at 8 metres above sea level, by the Ebre river, not far from its end.

Visible from most of the town
Beautiful bridge, well worth a couple pictures if you are in the area. Amposta is a nice little town as well.

Bit of of a climb, but worth it - you can drive 1/2 way
A bit of climb up, the path is well used, just follow the painted arrows from the unsigned car park ( don't park or drive up the concrete road that leads to a house )Views from the top are well worth the effort.There is a statue that was placed there abou

Good birdwatching spot in the delta
This is a very good area in the delta for certain species of birds that are not that common. When we visited we heard nightingale and cetti's warbler, hoopoe, bee eaters, Turtle dove and golden oriole. It is a nice walk around the reserve and a few places

Torre de vigilancia y Villa romana de la Carrova
Interesante visita para conocer como era una torre de vigilancia medieval. Des de la azotea de la misma hay una vistas increíbles del rio Ebro. Recomendable también visitar la villa romana de la Carrova

Very interesting place to spend an hour or two
Fascinating reconstruction of salt workings with good video and helpful markings around the site. You can also buy local rice in the shop at a decent price.

Pues si, fuimos a tomar vermut un domingo por la mañana con amigos; sitio tranquilo y al lado del rio. Gran variedad de vermuts y tienda con todo tipo de suvenirs del terreno y también vinos i arroz de todas las clases.Volveremos

un almuerzo de campeon
sin la gastronomía de casa no podríamos vivir, unos almuerzos completos en abundancia, caseros y de buena materia prima, ay que ir temprano para que no se agoten, recomiendo los púlpitos o las patatas con huevos fritos y chorizo, excelentes.un diez.
