Museu de les Terres de l'Ebre

The main building of Terres de l’Ebre Museum in Amposta has two exhibition rooms: “The Terres de l’Ebre: from Prehistory to the Middle Ages” and “The Ebro: a Water Highway”. Through a fascinating scenography, visitors can learn about the different cultures that have made the Terres de l’Ebre their home throughout history. You can also see how this great Iberian river has shaped the landscape and the lives of its people with its great natural wealth, diverse ways of life and the strategic situation on the river banks. The museum has important nature, archaeology and ethnology collections with more than 35,000 objects that represent the memory of the territory in the form of material and immaterial assets.

Visible from most of the town

Beautiful bridge, well worth a couple pictures if you are in the area. Amposta is a nice little town as well.

Bit of of a climb, but worth it - you can drive 1/2 way

A bit of climb up, the path is well used, just follow the painted arrows from the unsigned car park ( don't park or drive up the concrete road that leads to a house )Views from the top are well worth the effort.There is a statue that was placed there abou

Good birdwatching spot in the delta

This is a very good area in the delta for certain species of birds that are not that common. When we visited we heard nightingale and cetti's warbler, hoopoe, bee eaters, Turtle dove and golden oriole. It is a nice walk around the reserve and a few places

Parc Arqueologic de la Carrova

Archaeological park of The Carrova allows to visit, in the same space, two relevant monuments of the lands of Ebro rive. On the one hand, the remains of an important Roman city that was active between the centuries I bC. and V aC. And on the other hand, a majestic watchtower of the Ebro that dates back of the XIV century.

Torre de vigilancia y Villa romana de la Carrova

Interesante visita para conocer como era una torre de vigilancia medieval. Des de la azotea de la misma hay una vistas increíbles del rio Ebro. Recomendable también visitar la villa romana de la Carrova

MonNatura Delta de l'Ebre

MonNatura Delta de l'Ebre allows us to discover a natural environment of enormous wealth in one of the largest wetlands in Western Europe. Land and water come together on this spit to create an environment that is home to a unique variety of wildlife, particularly the internationally famous water birds. The Foundation has restored the grounds of the old Tancada saltworks, with an area of 41.2 hectares, highlighting the environmental value of the area trough an interpretive center and a proposed educational and recreational activities that provide insight close to the value of this area lakes. Salt, traditional fishing and bird-watching are the three great elements that move and guide MonNatura Delta de l'Ebre, formed by a series of areas that give value to the territory and the biodiversity around it.

Very interesting place to spend an hour or two

Fascinating reconstruction of salt workings with good video and helpful markings around the site. You can also buy local rice in the shop at a decent price.

sin la gastronomía de casa no podríamos vivir, unos almuerzos completos en abundancia, caseros y de buena materia prima, ay que ir temprano para que no se agoten, recomiendo los púlpitos o las patatas con huevos fritos y chorizo, excelentes.un diez.
