BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir

Open to one and all, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir was inaugurated in August of 2007 after only 17 months of construction time utilizing 1.3 Million volunteer hours. The Mandir is comprised of 3 types of stone (Turkish Limestone, Italian marble, and Indian pink sandstone). More than 34,000 individual pieces were carved by hand in India, shipped to the USA and assembled in Lilburn like a giant 3-D puzzle.

My rating is not for the store, it's for the way I was made to feel while inside the store.This place deserves a much higher score but one of my pet peeves is being followed around while I'm shopping and that happened here. Hovering makes me uncomfortable

what an awesome place

We were greeted by the nicest man when we entered the antique store. He told us all about the old building and the town.The building is only about 7000 square feet but it seems much larger because of all there is to see here. I absolutely loved this place
