Great hike!!

I have had a hike with Steven through Banana village. It was great, we had a home made lunch pack with delicious lentils. We stopped half way for the lunch at a beautiful spot by the water where you can also swim. It was to cold for me this time of the year, so no swim for me. Steven made a fire to make some Marocan tea.The hike brings you to beautiful views from the mountains and different plants.Steven can tell you about the area and had brought some local special dried treats to try.I like the fact that the hike is of the beaten track and it's not a large group. Max 9 I believe. I had this trip with just one other hiker, Marc from the UK. Thank you Steven for hiking with me!Regards,IreneThank you so much Irene for your sweet words :) We are very happy you enjoyed your trip and were very pleased to have your smiling company around ! See you next time !

Fun, learning and safety, all you could wish for.

We arrived in taghazout as a party of 7 and had a wander round to check out the surf school options. Having chatted to a few we settled on Mint Surf. Under the guidance of Moncif and his team we had a fabulous week. He took us to several different beaches, dropped in a little local colour, prepared a spot-on lunch, and coped with the great spread of ability in our group, from total beginners to more experienced. I would thoroughly recommend this team for their skill, patience, encouragement, and sound safety/qualification awareness. I had a fabulous week and will certainly book in again with mint surf. Will probably get them to organise the rooms and pick ups too. When you find a team this good they make everything run smoothly. Thankyou.

Sahara Surf

Sahara Surf Jan 27th – Feb 5th 2015Awesome time.Authentic Moroccan surfing adventure with Abs and his Master chef Nourdine.Everything organised like clockwork from the pick-up and welcome to Morocco hug from Abs to the emotional drop off at the airport at the end of the holiday. If you want to surf the best conditions Morocco has to offer at any given time then Abs is your man. He knows the coastline like the back of his hand. He has surfed all the spots from way down South into the Western Sahara to way up North (Safi and beyond). He took us to loads of places that we wouldn’t have found ourselves, many requiring his 4WD vehicle, and mostly uncrowded with often just the 3 of us on the trip +/- himself out.I could name some of the breaks but best to just quote Abs really as “Somewhere in Africa” to maintain the mystique. We stayed in a traditional Berber house for a couple of nights, a Bird and Nature reserve for another night, a surf Auberge for 3 nights and 3 nights near the Sahara Surf office with “Bernard” an excellent host.Unfortunately we did not get to camp down south in the Sahara as the conditions didn’t allow. We will have to return for that trip another time. However, we scored head high and overhead waves down South for 3 days when the whole of the Taghazout bay was flat. We bumped into some other Welsh surfers on our way back through and they were pretty jealous when they saw our photos compared to the gutless mush they had been putting up with.Nourdine accompanied the trip. He provided us with fantastic Moroccan food (loads of it), took great photos and generally looked after us in a manner that was very humbling to us. He is also an excellent fisherman by all accounts. Our host Abs was a true gentleman. He is a great guy with a fantastic sense of humour. He taught us loads about Morocco, versed us in Arabic, Berber and French, all of which he is fluent in (as well as English of course), and surfed like a “Pipe Master”. Best surf school in Agadir area!

My 21 year old son just spent 2 weeks surfing with Mohamed. The teaching was fantastic, he made a lot of progress and thoroughly enjoyed himself as well.He loved the friendly family style atmosphere as well as the great food and fun times. He has experienced surfing schools in Hossegor (France) and in the USA, so it was not a first for him.I could not more warmly recommend this surf school for their kindness, experience, organisation (without a single hitch) and professionalism.Im swiss so organisation is a must, and to be honest it was "swiss style" perfection.Comes highly recommended from me!Thanks again Momo!Thank you very much for your recommendation, it is your valuable comments and suggestions that make us consistently progress and grow. We also thank you that you mentioned the family atmosphere that reigns in our Surf Camp Surf Morocco Coast, this is really the unparalleled promise we bear in mind everyday when we serve our guests from their arrival to their departure. We had an amazing experience from start to finish. Rachid welcomed us, answered all our questions throughout our stay and helped us with hiring a car, came whenever we needed and organised all our surf needs. We loved the accommodation, it's comfortable, homey and a great place to spend days and nights. We loved the 2 terraces, one has a 360 view of the mountains and the ocean is awesome for sunsets and the other is an oasis with lots of plants and like an outdoor salon, where we lived alot of the time. Comfy beds too :0

surfer's paradise

Had a really good time with Verena and Omar. Just spent a week in Taghazout and I'm already looking forward to the next time! A week's just too short! The website said it's a surfers paradise. And although I haven't done much surfing before I now know it's true. Omar is a great and patient teacher and Verena has some really nice design skills! Bought two shirts in their surf shop too. :) Such a good place to be! I really would recommend their service anytime!
