This is a sight that you don’t get everyday. And the smell too. Pictures do not do justice to the experience, you got to come here to feel and smell NATURE in its raw state. There are two ways to get here - JR from nagasaki to Isahaya, then bus OR direct

Well worth the trip

Special experience with Sea Gull

This is one of alternative from Shimabara to Kumamoto, by car it will takes 3-4 hrs.Due to the weather with nice so we can take ferry from Shimabara Port to Kumamoto port it takes 45minson Ferry the most funny thing is you can feed the birds ( Sea gull )

A complete trip around the volcano

Stopped by here while running around Shimabara peninsula (100km+). Superb view from here to overlook Tachibana gulf if it is a beautiful day!!

A great day walk with climbing, great views.

We walked from Unzen up to the start of the ropeway, then caught it up. There is a shop there that sells drinks and light snacks. That section of walk took us an hour and a quarter. From below, it doesn't look like it adds much height but it does from abo

this place is called "Cheap confectionery museum" on the tourist map which I got. this shop contains all the cards, sweets, toys of yester years. it the front part is a shop . at the back is the entrance to a museum. an elderly couple was manning the boot
