Finally, a decent cocktail!!
The cocktails here are the best I've had in South East Asia so far! The service is very friendly & the place has a very relaxed vibe. The food was good too! Don't think I got what I ordered but it was nice anyway!
2. Bee Tree Food & Bar

Bee Tree is located in Muang Ngoi Neua. It's just at the end of the main street. It's nice garden with the valley and mountain view. We are making the garden more and more nicer. You can get there by boat if you are in Nongkhiaw and by walk if you are in

Look, this place is an oasis! Delicious food (one of the best restaurants we have eaten in south east Asia), cocktails are on a international level (come for the happy hours between 6 and 8), very cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, decent downtempo electronic music! A place you would rarely expect in a remote village :)

Excellent- Do not miss this restaurant
Had breakfast here 3 mornings and dinner twice. We had the suzy with chicken both times ordering it again the second night as it was so good the first time. It is a hearty, coconut milk based stew with lots of vegetables. We ordered rice as we usually do with curries but the cook, Nan, seemed to think this was unnecessary. She is a wonderful cook and the food here was much better than the one other place we tried.

Nightcaps on the patio
We were six canadians looking for a decent bar for some after dinner drinks. We strolled around and found this place. Great selection of spirits, great seats overlooking the river. Western style toilets. We quite enjoyed this place

Good meals, nice riverview setting
Located in an alley behind the office of Lao Youth Travel near the pier. The restaurant has two parts, one is a terrace without a roof, with better views of the river and the mountains, the other one is roofed restaurant, still with views, a bit tucked in.The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open from the morning till at least 22:00. The meals served here are a combination of Lao and international food and they are quite tasty. The service is reasonably fast and the restaurant is very popular. It is one of the best places in Muang Ngoi to watch the sunset over the river.

Fantastic view, fast service and delicious food.
- Very fast and friendly service (which is an exception in Laos and Muang Ngoi in particular ;-) ).- Delicious local food: we had a mango-lemon shake, a pineapple-lemon shake, spring rolls, papaya salad, and mango sticky rice. Everything was perfect.- Beautiful atmosphere: nice terrace with excellent river view and some nice plants.

An average Indian cousine with a lot to choose from. A nice alternative from the usual stuff around this area. Nice decoration and lighting with cute paper lanterns. Surprisingly quick service!

On retournera goûter d'autres choses.
