Excellent fish restaurant
Based on reviews tried out this place. The fish soup was excellent best I have had in years. Followed by the fish selection that had been cooked in the soup, white fish, scallop, mussels and lobster. Nice glass of Chablis went well. Floating islands and coffee followed. Well looked after by the owner and staff. Had been met with a sparkling aperitif and was surprised to find wine and coffee was free on the bill also. Will be coming back, thanks.

Unique elegant atmosphere, excellent food
A very classy restaurant with pink and purple lights that make for a unique, elegant, almost ethereal atmosphere. The food was outstanding: each dish was presented like a mini work of art and the different elements created a very tasty combination. Everyone in our party was pleased with their choice.

Very nice French restaurant with charme
We had dinner here with some friends. The amuse-bouches where very tasty, it include some small warm snacks and some creamy mini-dish with shrimps. (Sorry, I don't know how these were all called). The owner herself was handling our table and it was very "sympa" (how the French calls it) to chat with her. The place itself was recommended by friends living nearby. Apparently, they redid the place and it's interior looks quite modern. The food itself was very good, not the best I've had in and around Paris, but the standard can be quite high. They don't have any kids meals, but they adapt depending on what the kid likes. For the 3 year old boy of my friends, they brought a nice beef filet steak with vegetables, charging 10 EUR. It's a nice and calm restaurant to spend an evening with friends, having a good meal and enjoying yourselfs

The place to be In Joinville on a sunny day (but not only)
If you happen to be near Joinville on a sunny day, do not hesitate and get a table at Le Petit Pont. The terrace of this restaurant set in an island is the perfect spot for a relaxed but delicious lunch. You'll be sitting next to the river Marne in a green and quiet oasis. Better book your table by phone though as Le Petit Pont is deservedly considered the best restaurant in town (and probably also the most expensive). On my visit I had a great veal tartare, followed by a perfect cod in chorizo crust. My partner took the oeufs meurette, a house special, made of poached egg, in a red wine with bacon dices sauce, and the pollock . The exotic fruit Pavlova desert was very tempting even if our choice went for the Café gourmand (coffee + small deserts). For all tll this, plus 50 cl of a decent white wine and a large bottle of sparkling water, we paid around 90 euros. The lunch was a really memorable one. Note that this is a place where you need not to be in a hurry. But this is for a very good reason: all food is prepared from scratch before beeing served, as the owner told us. So at rush hour you might have to wait a bit if you just came for a main course. Rather than waiting, do not hesitate in taking an entrée. They are delicious.

French cuisine review
Reviewed french cuisine by keeping the tradition. It's a real delicious restaurant. Quality of raw material is well recognized. Service is adequate. The restaurant makes good effort to keep high quality and and prices too. Saint Jaques tartare and tunafish are well suggested. Profiteroles are a welcomed surprise! For those who believe french cuisine isn't so exciting, try this!

A little expensive, but definitely a good crêpe
I have tasted better "galettes" in my life, but the crêpes (sweet, with caramelised apples, salted butter caramel and ice-cream) were delicious and the cider as well. Better to book for dinner, especially during the weekend.

Based on earlier reviews, made effort to visit this restaurant. (Despite incorrect map position as at date of this submission,) it lies OUTSIDE the city limits, on the Rue de Paris, just a few yards towards the city from Liberte station, on Metro line 8.It was quiet on the evening I went, but was made to feel welcome by the owner. The table coverings seemed to be those you might expect for a children's party, but perhaps they are used to careless eaters ?With the owner's help, I ordered two courses FROM the menu. They were pleasant enough but, also with the owner's encouragement, and NOT with the menu in front of me, I accepted his two further suggestions of a green salad and a dessert. On receiving the bill, I was rather disheartened to see how much the cost of this meal had risen, due to those extra plates !So the moral is . . . only order from what is clearly listed and priced IN FRONT OF YOU, please . . !
