Chester-le-Street (/ˈtʃɛstər li ˈstriːt/) is a town in County Durham, England. Its history goes back to the building of a Roman fort called Concangis. This Roman fort is the "Chester" (from the Latin castra) of the town's name; the "Street" refers to the paved Roman road that ran north–south through the town, and which is now called Front Street (shown at right).

Beautiful day for it today. Blue skies, not too cold. Took scooters and bikes down for the kids to ride around before going on the play equipment.They’ve stopped charging for parking after 3pm, see the picture.

Wonderful, Moving Experience

Amazed when we walked through the doors. Staff extremely encouraging and their joy at working there is obvious. The "Open Treasures" exhibit is informative and has you keen to go from one exhibit to the next. As we were leaving the choir commenced practis

A great day out

It was my daunter’s Christmas present to me. Tickets to watch the sand paper kind get obliterated by England for once in their pomp. The signage to our seats was overwhelmed by the attendant tv vans just how much gear do you need.The stewards were helpful

At your service sir!!

Like most people, I thought this place would be packed full of people out on a Saturday afternoon, watching sports and full of stag and hen do's. I was very pleasantly supposed when , although it was busy in the bar area, you could sit in the dining area
