Tranquil place of peace and beauty

The monastery (a nunnery) and its gardens are very well maintained and welcoming. It offers great views to the Stara planina mountain range and the town of Gabrovo. In the 19th c. it was involved in the Bulgarian resistance against the Ottoman empire.
