Gananoque (/ˌɡænəˈnɒkweɪ/ GAN-ə-NOK-way) is a town in the Leeds and Grenville area of Ontario, Canada. The town had a population of 5,194 year-round residents in the Canada 2011 Census, as well as summer residents sometimes referred to as "Islanders" because of the Thousand Islands in the Saint Lawrence River, Gananoque's most important tourist attraction. The Gananoque River flows through the town and the St. Lawrence River serves as the southern boundary of the town.

Thousand Islands Playhouse

The most scenic theatre in Canada, the Thousand Islands Playhouse has two theatres on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, halfway between Toronto and Montreal, Canada. Gananoque Brewing Company

Micro-brewery located in a gorgeous 19th Century industrial building in downtown Gananoque. Tasting room is open from noon to 9pm. Tours every day at 1, 3, 5 and 7 pm. Tasting sampler is $5 for four different local beers.

Nice selection of beer

It was really hot, the day we visited the Gananoque Brewing Company. We picked four of their beers to taste. All enjoyable, as well as the patio. Only problem was that the beer warmed up too quickly. Great host.

This park is right at the water front. We explored it when we wre waiting for 1000 islands cruise. There is a splash pad. There is also walking trails. The kids love the park. There are many benches for you to sit and relax. There is also aroped swimming

Only walked the south loop, between 7-8 kms. It took about 2.5 hours at a moderate pace which includes a total of about 30 minutes of rest. Started on the more difficult east side trail and looped back on the easier Blue Trail south loop which was fortuna
