Kasauli (Hindi: कसौली) is a cantonment and town, located in Solan district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The cantonment was established by the British Raj in 1842 as a Colonial hill station, 77 km from Shimla, 65 km from Chandigarh, and 94 km from Ambala Cantt (Haryana), an important Railway Junction of North India and lies at a height of 1,927 metres (6,322 ft). The town is a health resort, having an elevation of 1,900 metres above sea level.

The Gilbert Trail is situated near Sunset Point. You can spend some time here for freshness and cool surroundings. You can have good view of sunset, the valley below and of Chandigarh town.

Great Views But A Bit Crowded

The sunset view is truly amazing from here but during weekends the place gets a bit crowded. If you move towards the Gilbert Trail there's a sunset point around 300 metres ahead. A great spot with fewer people.

Christ's Church

The Christ Church Kasauli situated close to the bus stand, was constructed by the the British family who founded the town of Kasauli itself. The church is a magnificent structure built in the shape of a cross. Set amidst a grove of chestnut and fir trees, the church offers quiet and tranquil atmosphere. Earlier the church was known by the name of Anglican Church. In the year 1970, the church was brought under the aegis of the CNI (Churches of North India).
