Situated on a plateau in the Shivalik belt of the Himalayas, Patnitop sits at an altitude of 2,024 m (6,640 ft). The river Chenab flows in close proximity to this location.

Man made lake surrounded by hills

Good view,walking track around the lake and a zip line are the main attractions. Not suitable for senior citizen or people with walking issues as one has to go down a steep and long track down to reach the small lake.

Chenani-Nashri Tunnel, also known as Patnitop Tunnel, is a road tunnel in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir on NH 44 (former name NH 1A before renumbering of all national highways). The work was started in 2011[1] and was inaugurated on 2 April 2017 by Prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi. It is India's longest road tunnel with a length of 9.28 km (5.8 mi).

Nothing Much to see other than Children's Play area

There is nothing much to see other than children's play area. If snow fall is there than some time you can spend or else better to skip and cover Nathan top instead of this area.If snow fall is there, then will get snow games at very reasonable rates.
