It is located in the western part of the country within the Trnava Region and is the seat of its own district. It is the biggest and best known spa town in Slovakia and has around 30,000 inhabitants (2012).

The Colonnade Bridge

The Colonnade Bridge is a bridge over the Vah river in Piestany and it connects the town to the Spa Island. It is the longest covered bridge in Slovakia and a preeminent Functionalist construction with many precious art objects.

One of the icon attraction

You can find this icon attraction immediately after the Colonnade bridge, I'm so interested in art, and I really like that statue so much. There is another one just at the beginning of the Colonnade bridge too.

you get what you expect - a shopping mall. no really luxury brands, though, but a nice grocery, sport equipment etc. if you need quick shopping during your vacation, this is one of the places in the very city (hypermarket tesco is in the outskirts).avoid
