This hotel is a tourist sight in itself. Lovely architecture to walk around and skybar is reasonably priced considering China is similiarly priced. Food does't start till 5pm so were't able to try them for lunch as planned. 10mins walk from the duty free centre so if you're on a free bus from your hotel, you can shop and visit this bar too.

Absolutely wonderful service and delicious food! Our experience began the evening before our dinner when we walked in and made a reservation with Tina. She ensured me we would get a good table and we were not disappointed. She remembered us the next day when we were seated and came to say hi. The friendly and warm service continued during dinner. Miranda was especially attentive and even gave me a small bunch of roses to end the night. Food was yummy and authentic. It was an experience I would highly recommend.

Superb food and fantastic service
Food & beverage / Location:Fresh and premium ingredients and excellent cooking. Everything from the homemade bread and truffles butter to the starters and main course was delicious and beautifully presented. My sirloin steak was medium instead of medium-well, but I didn’t ask for an improvement. It was simply yummy medium. Very cold and fresh coconuts are available that round up the experience in the summer-like, natural but futuristic environment and the gentle, loungy Latin music playing in the background. Service: The staff is friendly, open, well-trained and especially the waiters from Nepal speak good English and are very well groomed, smiling and pay attention to details. We were served by a Nepali guy called Eddy and he did his job very well. After one week on Hainan Island it was the best hospitality and service experience. Overall: I’ve heard a lot of good about the EDITION hotel and its restaurants and I was not disappointed. It’s a wonderful, modern, zen-style location and the staff is well trained and speaks better English than in other places on the island.Would I eat here again? - Yes, definitely! :)

5. Netsu - Japanese Restaurant
The chilled ambient vibes, live DJ performances and graffiti-covered walls mean that Japanese Netsu is certainly one of the resort’s trendiest hangouts, and one of the very few restaurants that offer a mixture of teppanyaki, robatayaki, and sushi all unde

Great choice if you stay at Atlantis
this restaurant is divided 3parts: sushi(sashimi),tepanyaki, robatayaki. Iordered many dishes here and most of them was really nice. atmosphere was so cool too, it’s not typical Japanese atmosphere though. servers could speak English and treated guests well. you can charge the room no. if you stay at Atlantis hotel. Since there are no restaurants near Atlantis, netsu will be a good choice. Although it will be expensive compared to local Hainan restaurants, it will worth the charges.Greetings from Netsu, Atlantis Sanya!Thank you very much for spending time sharing your recent dining experience at Netsu, Japanese Restaurant at Atlantis Sanya. We are glad that you were enjoying dining in the restaurant. Your compliment will defitely be a key driver to motivate our service team to provide better service experience other guests in the near future.Once again, thank you for the feedback and we looking forward to welcoming you back again to Netsu, Japanese Restaurant at Atlantis Sanya, China!

Very nice stuff working there but the hotel has its best years behind him.
First I want to say that the employees working there are very very nice. Although very few of them speak english, the ones doing so were very helpfull and treated us very good. The breakfast buffet is for a hotel in china very good. You can find a lot of chinese food but also a lot of western food, which was very important for me. the hotel is beautiful and if you can catch one of the rooms at the first floor, you'll have the pool right in your balcony. The pool is huge and the beach in front of the hotel is clean (you cannot swim in it in august/september because of the current and the jelly fishs). There is also the r kids club, which is a good playground for kids to play, when it is rainy or it is too hot outside. The gym has everything a gym needs and the spa is also beautiful, but every treatment is extremely expensive. The balcony in the rooms are big and cosy. While dinner you have nice life music and the room service cleans the room twice a day!But now i have to mention the bad things. The ways to the Reataurants and the beach are quite long because the hotel is huge. There is not one market or supermarket close to the hotel, so you can buy some fruits or a yogurt or what ever you might need. Even if you think to bring food with you the first day, the humidity and the ants will destroy it. the fridge in the room is really small, so no way to store fruits or food in big quantities. The food in the restaurant is tasty but very expensive. Also the portions are quite small for these prices. As there is no other option for food, you'll have no choice but to eat in the hotel. The tv program is pretty lame. We had mold in the joints in the bathroom. the floor in our room was always wet, we didn't figure out why exactly, so it was really dangerous for our daughter to walk on the bare ground. The furnitures in the rooms are quite old and the bed made loud sounds when one moved. Also thd matrasse is old and you can see the molds where the people slept. It was thinner on the edges than in the middle. I tried to order food into our room but because the employee on the phone didn't speak english well, she didn't understand me. We had this problem 4 times! I cannot understand how they put someone on the phone who doesn't speak english!!! It was really annoying to order the food on the phone! This is the management's fault!Over all i don't think that this hotel deserves 5 stars. comparing to other hotels i visited i would give it 3 or maximum 4 stars because of the state of the furnitures. The entrance and the employees however deserve 5 stars. Just wanted to thank you for your recent stay here at Renaissance Sanya Resort & Spa! So glad you were able to experience our authentic hospitality. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Horrible service and food
This restaurant is HORRIBLE, I suggest to avoid it. The food is very low quality and there were not many choices especially for kids: I saw cooking pasta with GLUTAMATE!!!!! The fresh fish was full of sand, so not properly cleaned and washed...and so on.. The service was the worst thing: we arrived around 7, many tables were still empty but "booked" (even if during the whole evening they remained empty ), so the chief waiter said "sorry, no tables available". I suggested to add a small table for us (there was a lot of room in the garden, and many extra chairs available, and let going away 4 persons is not a wise decision...), they said "no". I insisted many times and then they accepted to bring a small table for us. Later they added a few more tables for other people (so my request was not so stupid!). We asked for a cup of steamed rice for my kid (who was hungry !!). We had to ask to 3 different waiters in Mandarine, in English, showing a picture on the phone. The cup of rice came after 30 min. Our dinner was awful! AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!!!
