Superb Dinner in Honfleur
We went to Coup de Fourchette based on TA reviews and we were not disappointed. It is a small bistro with an almost intimate ambiance located in the quieter part of town. As soon as we walked in, the owner welcomed and treated us warmly. For dinner, I had the Rilletes de Sardines, the Poisson Sauce aneth and the fondant chocolat while my husband had the Tapenade d'olives, Poulet Roti and the Crousti Fraises de la Riviere. Everything we had was delicious and every bite brought an awakening to our palates. The restaurant had a good wine selection and the service was impeccable from beginning to end.I wished we had another night to dine at Coup de Fourchette but I'm glad the one we had was memorable. I highly recommend it to those visiting the quaint town of Honfleur.

A typical French country side restauant
To sit at the terrace in the sun, have a look at the country side and enjoy the goose liver paté with a Gewurztraminer or try the menu card with normal prices. But dont expect gourmet cusine, just typical French country side restaurant cuisine. Very friendly accomandation and service, family friendly.

This restaurant was recommended by the owner of Coup de Fourchette, also in La Rivière Saint Sauveur, as his was fully booked (see review)The setting is very rural although it is only 3km from the centre of Honfleur. Access is via a 200m narrow track arriving at a parking area a few steps from the hotel (10 bedrooms) and restaurant entrance. We were greeted and seated by Estelle in the contemporarily decorated dining area. The other diners, as they arrived, included French and English families. Low key jazz music in the background broke the initial quiet whilst we we contemplating the blackboard menu over Kir Normand apéritifs. From the menu it is also possible to order a 3 course 'formule' of 3 prices (€22,24,27) the difference depending on the choice of main course. The terrine starter, chicken and cod dishes, prepared by Guillaume, were excellent, complemented by a good selection of local desserts. The wine list was short but good value ranging from glasses, through carafes of different sizes to full bottles. The ambience and the service was friendly and welcoming and the setting, especially in the evening sunshine, was glorious.A chance choice but an excellent one.

Very nice winebar
In a small street close to the city centre we found a very niice winebar which also serves a few bites (good chees/ham and bread). We had 2 nice glasses of wine and some bites. Very friendly owner, who can advise you when you don't know what to choose. They also slle local painted art. Very nice and we bought a small painting. I can advise you to have a drink her.

SaQuaNa in Honfleur is a starred restaurant in which Delphine and Alexandre Bourdas wished to put what they like, what they learned during their travels and meetings. This place finally expresses their personalities. After long months of renewal, the rest

No doubt this restaurant deserves it’s 2 Michelin stars.Excellent food, great service by a young team of professional ,multilingual waiters, only one regret : there was no offer for accompanying wines. Since my wife does not drink wine, I like this formula,as one can taste a number of adequate wines. All in all a great experience!

We were looking for a typical French restaurant and discovered this gem. The restaurant is run by hard working couple Emilie and Max. Emilie is a wiz in the kitchen! And Max delivers her heavenly food promptly. We had the reasonably priced set menu and very much enjoyed every morsel. Oysters, duck, cod, cheese platter (to die for) and the best apple sorbet with local Calvados (again to die for) ! Good food. Value for money. Gentle ambiance. We totally recommend L’envie.

We stopped here for a drink, some decent wines were on offer from Spain and South America. We also got a couple of small plates of tapas that were tasty. Another family next to us ordered a large platter of assorted tapas, which looked really good. Unfortunately we’d already got dinner reservations so couldn’t stay longer.

Visited here one evening for dinner. We entered the restaurant and were shown to a table by the lady out front. There were no other tables occupied. We sat and waited. We were smiled at but there was no other form of communication from the restaurant staff whatsoever! We sat for around 15 minutes - waiting for something to happen. I asked the girl behind the reception desk if we could have a drink and menus and she smiled. We did not wait any longer and voted with our feet! We left! I think this is not the way to treat customers and visitors to your country. I would not return here and obviously I can not recommend it or the food as I did not eat or drink anything.

Michelin status confirmed
This restaurant offers modern decor and table settings, slightly formal but efficient service and excellent food at a reasonable cost. It seems to confirm that in France Michelin is THE guide for serious foodies (although for those wanting ice cream parlours or pommes frites in Honfleur Trip advisor is probably better.......
