Quick dinner

Had a quick dinner with a friend while on a business trip. I ordered a mixed fried rice and an iced lemon tea my friend ordered devilled chicken and a juice. The order took around 35 minutes, but the food was hot and good, I had to order an egg separately although the menu said it was included. Papadam was served with the rice however was soggy and had lost its crisp the ice lemon tea was a bit on the sour side.We sat outside in one of the small gazebos but was attacked by mosquitos, we also saw a rat run past us as well.My friend enjoyed his meal.

Breakfast & Dinner

We went here for breakfast early morning, I could barely recognise it as a restaurant, looks like a big house opposite the airport, no sign board and covered by nice trees and then you walk into a little garden and you see some tables and chairs. We were greeted by the (owner/manager/server) yes it is a one man show. Perfect English and a genuine guy, very hospitable and friendly. He was just opening shop and we asked him for breakfast, 15 minutes later he arrives with a plate of fresh Mashuni, an omelette and sausages with some Maldivian paratta on the side. The Mashuni was amazing and so was the service. In the evening we returned for a quick dinner before our flight and I asked for a recommendation, anticipating our departure time (which was 30 minutes away) he told us to go for a mix fried rice and we also ordered one of his mocktails (X mojito). The mojito was amazing one of the best mocktails I had, while enjoying it our flight arrived earlier than expected which meant that we didn’t have time to actually have dinner, but it was quickly packed for us and we took it home. Once again at home they didn’t disappoint us, the rice was delicious!

The best fish bun in the world

We came to this place hungry after a long day at work, it was 4PM and we hadnt had lunch. I ordered a Nasi Goreng and my friend ordered just two fish buns. I felt it was weird why he would just order something of the shelf despite been so hungry. While waiting for my rice I just had a bite of the fish bun...... WOW!!! I’ve been surrounded and eating fish buns my whole life but this one was absolutely phenomenal, it had the most tastiest filling ever, it was generous (ive had worst where you have to bite your way through to actually get a hint of the filling) you break the bun and the filling just oozes out, the bun itself was fresh and soft, hands down the best fish bun ever. The Nasi Goreng came to the table faster than I expected, very good, fresh, hot, and spicy accompanied by hot and crispy papadum. This place is a must go! They have seating outside and inside and a terrace upstairs too.I may not go this place often as I dont live here but one thing for sure if anyone asks me what i want from Fuvahmulah it would be the Real Breeze Fish Bun!
