The views and service are superb, the food delicious.
This restaurant is a favorite with the tour groups, and we arrived just before two different groups totaling probably more than 50 people sat down for dinner. Everyone was served with grace and warmth by their very efficient staff. I had the corvina, and asked for salad and vegetables instead of starch, and the food was delicious.

Delicious Ecuatorian food at affordable prices
Delicious Ecuatorian food at affordable prices, accompanied by complementary Andean music. Every dish we tried was carefully prepared, especially the “trucha al vapor” (trout), cooked with lots of tasty ingredients, all natural and well balanced. The juices were also pretty flavorful, particularly the “jugo de mora” (blackberry juice) was the best.

A step back in time
We visited this amazing hacienda for breakfast on Monday. Not only was the food amazing, the property is breathtaking! Walking into the main building is like stepping back 100 years in time! We spent over two hours here! We enjoyed well prepared scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and pancakes. The homemade strawberry jam is not to be missed! Pricing is extremely reasonable for the amount of food you receive. We met the owner, Nick whom is quite entertaining! We could have chatted with him all day!!We spent a good amount of time exploring the grounds after our meal, which I highly reccomend. The gardens are intoxicating! They even have llamas on the grounds! You'll most assuradly want to plan on at least two hours visiting Hacienda Cusin for dining and exploring...NOT to be missed!

Burritos at the Balcon
Balcon de Imbabura is located at the Plaza de Ponchos. From the second floor it overlooks the plaza. This small restaurant serves Mexican style food at reasonable prices. We started with the nachos con carne and had burritos that were good. The pork ribs/ chop were just pork smothered in BBQ sauce and not great. The service was good and the food was alright. I'd give Balcon de Imbabura a solid "Good". The location is perfect after a busy time shopping, but there are better restaurants a little further away from the Plaza.

Wonderful ambience, great food
I ate here three times during my stay in Otavalo. They have a wood fired oven which produces excellent thin crust pizza but their ethnic dishes are just delicious. One night I had a shrimp cazuela which came with a nice salad. The canelaso- cinnamon apple liquer which is served when you arrive does warm you through and through. It is a little more expensive than surrounding restaurants but worth the treat.Thank you so much! We're happy you enjoyed your dinners and we hope to have you back some day!

Decent food, great view when available
The attractive part, the balcony overlooking the Otavalo market is small and therefor always full and you need to come back several times to secure a table and enjoy the view. If you are sitting inside restaurant is just like every other tourist restaurant in the area. The menu is Mexican orientated but has a touch of everything, we settled for the nachos and beerFood is decent and at reasonable prices.

Good food served by friendly staff
During my 5 day stay in Otavalo last March I had dinner here on a number of occasions. This place has atmosphere !!! I want to pay tribute to Marco who served me each evening-a very friendly and professional person....The food was excellent and served promptly. As this restaurant is centrally located-near Plaza Bolivar and a short distance from Plaza de Ponchos-it is well worth a visit....Only problem is that it closes-as expected-at 4 pm on Sundays....great place to eat at....10 out of 10.

Great Pizza and really cheap!
We spent $12, got 2 pizzas (personal sized but we had to take some home because we couldn't finish it), and 2 fruit smoothies. The pizzas were nothing short of amazing! Definitely recommended.
