Cosy and welcoming
We read the reviews and went each day we were there (four days). On the 4th day, it was just too busy and Peter reluctantly couldn't accommodate us, but we understood. The place is small but that's part of the appeal. The other appeal is the excellent food and affordable drinks. the garlic potato was divine, the garlic bread rolls excellent, the pizza superb, the spinach and cheese dish delicious. An open fire greeted us on every occasion, alongside a genuine warmth from the staff. Even when tables were 'booked', they attempted to fit people in, even for a short stay. You MUST book for the evenings if you go in busy weeks, as everyone now knows about this gem, but late afternoon, you can chance it and get lucky. Super place.

Superb food - lovely experience
We were advised that this was the best restaurant in Borovets and we were not disappointed. We came on our first night and it was so good we came on our last too. It’s a lovely traditional family run restaurant. The son (Svilen) is front of house with the parents doing the cooking. They do fabulous local specialities which is what we would recommend. On the first evening we had Cornflake Chicken which you must try. Gorgeous. We also had their stuffed mushrooms which were lovely too. On the second evening we had their Cheese in a pot with eggs to start. On both evenings we had their Satch per too which is pictured. It is a delicious Bulgarian dish with pork and chicken with loads of lovely veggies in a rich sauce in a hot skillet. Awesome! We then shared their recommended apple cake to finish which did not disappoint!! We didn’t really have room for it but oh well!! It was fabulous. All in all, a great way to enjoy your evening. If you’re in a busy week, make sure you book. It’s quite small and will fill quickly.

Great value, good quality, we love this place
Travelled to Borovets in Feb 2019 and ate here on two nights. Food was very good and great value especially when compared to Borovets ski resort prices. The savings more than covers the cost of the taxi. Atmosphere good and staff very friendly/helpful. Definitely worth a visit but book a table up front to make sure you get in as it can get very busy.

Fire the waitress
Went in, waitress threw the menus on the table from 1 meter distance, didn’t even bother to look at us or say anything, went straight out. Disgraceful. The guy in the bar greeted us with a nice smile when we came in tho. Fire the waitress. So yesterday you wrote an identical review but saying about punching the waitress in the face...so quite rightly, Trip Advisor removed it. As it was removed, you have then written the same review but removed your aggressive / threatening stance simply so you could re-post. It is a shame that we don't all get second chances to change our attitude / actions rather than people being able to destroy reputations / businesses without a blink of an eye. Please remember you publicly stated on here you were going to punch her and as I said before it is probably a good thing you didn't stay if you felt that was the correct form of behaviour....If businesses were able to have the same opportunity as yourself and simply change a few words / go back 24 hours then I am sure it would help improve customer service all round. I hope you enjoyed the rest of the time in Borovets. RegardsBobbys Bar.

Best & friendliest eating place in Borovets
Me and my boyfriend were in Borovets for 7 nights and we have eaten at White Magic on 5 nights out of 7. The place is warm, cosy and friendly with a pub like atmosphere. There is a large selection of dishes which include burgers, pasta, pizza, beef, chicken and local dishes all delicious with generous portions. Prices are moderate as well. There is a TV where you can watch football and other sports and in the evening, a selection of popular international music is played. The best thing about this place is definitely the friendly owner, Christo who is a jolly and very friendly guy, an ex olympic skier who makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. The pub is adorned with lots of his ski competition memorabilia which he loves to talk about and which we really enjoyed listening to. Christo also gives private skiing lessons which we will take on our visit next year to continue improving our skills. I spoke to some people who visit Christo’s pub and they recommended him highly as an instructor and also read great reviews about his great and fun tuition. I look forward to it!

Atmosphere is always up beat and cheerful with some sort of entertainment being held every night by “DJ ANGE” Would highly recommend the Alpin restaurant if you were staying within the resort.

Excellent food and friendly staff
Great food. Don't be put off by the busy interior. Home cooked food and the owner explained the specials of the day. Unusually he was very happy to add lots of extra vegetables that weren't on the menu. And so tasty.I recommend the pork knuckle and the spa bold and the bean soup all delicious. Only tiny criticism is that it doesn't accept cards and no written bill at the end for verification. But really worth a visit.

Great atmosphere but can get very busy / rowdy
Travelled to Borovets in Feb 2019 and spent more than a couple of nights here. Service/staff/atmosphere all great and prices OK, maybe not the cheapest in Borovets but certainly not Alpine prices either. Nail game is always a good (dangerous??) distraction and the permanent happy hour means you always end up drinking more than intended. Food looks good but we've only had breakfasts there which were good but can't comment on evening meals. Overall worth a visit and if everywhere else is dead then BJ's will be rocking

We went here mid week. We booked through crystal ski our tour operator. Paid a fixed price for nachos, fajitas and pancakes. They have unlimited sangria for an hour and we made full use of it. You only get this booking through crystal. Definitely recommend this night out. Great in house band as well.
