Delicious food again

We're locals so could go anywhere in the villag, however choose Michelle's. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The addition of the duck breast this year is very welcome, the lamb rump was scrumptious and the trio of fish gives you an opportunity to sample some delicious fresh local fish. It's always nice to know you can go somewhere and be guaranteed a lovely evening. Must give a mention to the waitress Lisa, who is a delight.

Incredible Food

Don’t be fooled by the size of the Blue Peter, it’s like the Tardis! How they produce such incredible cuisine from such a small kitchen is testament to the skill of the staff! We were a group of 7 and the staff were happy to push a couple of tables together for us. With one vegetarian and 2 gluten free in the party, we were prepared to eat a side dish but no ... there was AMPLE choice for us and the food was utterly superb.

Incredible place!!

We had never been to Couch’s before but heard really good things about it, not to mention the fact that the Chef (Richard) has worked with some of the best chefs in the world. The staff were welcoming and our Waiter was very friendly and helpful. Richard himself was very hands on, checking guests were ok and serving food which I thought was a really nice touch. The restaurant is comfortable and cosy. The food is like nothing I have ever tasted before, it is absolutely incredible! We had the 5 courses and every course was just amazing. We will be going back and would recommend this place to anyone! Book in advance because it gets full very quickly!

Fine dining in Polperro

We visited The Kitchen for dinner on a Sunday evening, while the tail-end of a hurricane swept through Polperro.Inside the restaurant, the atmosphere was friendly, informal and we were warmly welcomed. It might be compact and bijou, but The Kitchen punches well above its weight in terms of the quality of their menu, the outstanding and personal approach to service and the expertise of the chef. Smoked haddock croquettes for starters, lamb shank and the most amazing fillet steak I've ever tasted for main course and then, the star of the show, an apple crumble tart with clotted cream ice cream. Beyond words, frankly, and a meal that will stay with us long in our memories for the best of reasons - from start to finish, this was a memorable night out. Cost? Dinner for two, 3 courses each, with drinks, about £75. And worth every penny.Thank you to Tina and 'chef'....

Ben knows how to keep the good food coming and nice tweaks to the menu to make it appealing to returning guests. Can thoroughly recommend John Dorey if on, as well as the squid to start and smoked cods roe. Fat chips are still the best around.
